Skylines have released their debut album titled "Oneirology". This album shows the band in a very heavy way. The band seems to be going for a mix of metalcore and deathcore. Theses guys have a similar sound of that like an ERRA or a Periphery, so if you like those bands, you could like this one. They have sone an okay job here.

When looking at the recording quality of the album here, the album has been recorded to an alright level. The album could have been recorded a little crisper and louder, but for a first album, it's not bad. With the instrumentation, the band certainly shows that they can play, and play pretty well. We feel like the band is highlighted by the guitars and how they play. Their skills are highlighted in the song "Histamine" which is a instrumental song. Nice job here overall.

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are a bit of a low point for this album. The screams are better than the sung parts, but the screams sound pretty forced in parts. Listening to the screams, they sound not bad, but you can tell there needs to be some work with them. Now the sung parts are mostly not great. You can here that they are put in to give some contrast, but also that it's mostly just getting someone who is in the band to do the best they can. It isn't bad, but full screams would of worked way better for now. Props on the attempt and for trying though. Now with the lyrics, the band goes for songs about trying to find meaning in life, and what the thing is you are supposed to do with life. These are subjects that every person is dealt with at some point in their life. This is something that can get a wider audience, and really hits with people that will become fans of this band. good job on these lyrics.

If you are looking for a single to this album, listen to the song "Serotonin" as it is the song they made a lyric video, and it shows off the band in the best light. This song would be considered the single. 

Skylines have made an album that shows off the type of sound and style the band is going for, and gives them a base to work off of, as well as something to start playing shows. We like where the band is headed, and this is a good base. We hope that the band makes some tweeks, works on some things and comes back better. Eaten By Sharks have released their debut album entitled "We're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat". This album shows the band in a very technical way. These guys are very heavy and chaotic in their sound. They have a similar sound to that of a Beneath The Massacre, or The Contortionist, so if you like those bands, you could really like this band. The band has done an alright job here.

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to just an okay level. The music sounds like it could be off the floor in some parts, and the vocals have a grungy and gritty sound to them. They could use a clearer, cleaned up recording in general to this album, and it could work to up this album. The instrumentation on this album is what really stands out though. This band can certainly play, and for a tech band, this is essential because this is what fans are looking for. These guys have done a really good job on this part of the album and this is the main piece to this album.

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are not too bad. You can hear the growls and screams have a nice solid sound to them. There is a little bit of work to be done, but it certainly works for the sound and style they are going for, plus he can do metal vocals. With the lyrics, the band likes to go for a lot of nautical themes in their lyrics. They have themes of gore, monsters, and being frustrated with the world. These are some typical themes bands in this genre talk about. Fans that like gruesome lyrics will like tis band, and they have done a really good job with the stories on their songs. Feel like people will like this.

If you are looking for a single to this album, give the title track "We're Gonna Need A Bigger Boat" your attention as it is the best song on the alum, and give you the best overall idea of what the rest of the album sounds like. 

Eaten By Sharks have made an album that shows off what the band is all about and gives them something to start from. This also gives them something to play shows with. Dawn Vally have released their album "Still Bleeding". This album does indeed keeps your ears still bleeding from after their previous effort. They have the same kind of sound and style as their previous album as well. The band has more of a growl style, as opposed to screams, so we would say they are similar to that of a Death or Opeth. So if you like those bands, you could like this album. They have done an alright job here.

When looking at the recording quality here, the band has recorded this album to a somewhat average sound here. The music sound a little quieter than their previous album and could do with a more professional recording, as opposed to in someone's basement. This could take the music just that much higher. With the instrumentation, the music isn't really too crazy. This is pretty much your typical metal playing, a bunch of chugs and breakdowns, but they can certainly play. The band shows off a little bit here and there, but mostly just good old regular playing. 

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are not too bad. The band doesn't do the sung vocals, so it's all just screamed, growl vocals. Their singer seems to be able to pull them off decently, and it gives a heavier vibe to the band. With the lyrics, the band goes for lyrics on  more of an Emmure of Attila front. Their lyrics are in your face, and more so saying things to see if a reaction can be gotten from the listener. They have songs talking about girls negatively, relationships, life etc. These aren't bad, we just would only really choose to listen to that from time to time. 

If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "That Sloppy Girl You Once Knew" your attention, as that is the single off this EP, and shows off the bands style the best. 

Dawn Vally has made a second album that give the band more material to play more shows, have longer sets, and show off more of what the band is about. They have done an all right job overall. The music is awesome, and we like the heaviness. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Absence Of Fear have released their debut album "We Lost Our Captain In An Elevator Mosh Pit". This album shows off the band in a heavy, core like way, but also classic metal solos. Thee guys don't really have a similar sound to that of anyone. They mix a few different things from different styles of metal, so it's hard to pin point bands they sound like, which is good.

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a below average sound. These songs are not bad, but the vocals and the overall recordings seem to be very low and needing to be louder and more crisp.  The Instrumentation on this album is quite good however. We feel like this band shows off their ability, and there are parts that really show off the guitarists abilities. This band can certainly play, although at times it doesn't feel like the styles of the screaming and music meld together properly. Still good either way. 

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are not too bad actually. The vocalist can certainly scream, and he's got a sound that most local screaming bands star out with. There are hints that really impress me here though. On the other hand, the background vocals could use some work. They seem to be a bit weak and out of tune at times. Not bad for a first release. With the lyrics, the band goes for songs about relationships, dark themes of vengeance and where to go with things, and fighting for things. We feel that fans and people in general can get into these lyrics and themes, relate with this band. This really helps in gaining those fans. Pretty good job all in all here.

If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of the album. The bands songs are longer, so we suggest "breathe" as one to try out.

Absence Of Fear have made a debut album that really gives the band a starting point, and something to be able to play shows. These guys really have something here, as long as the recording gets better. You can tell the guitar and screaming works well, and could be shown with a better sound. Blind Eye Era have released their debut self titled album. This album shows the band in a very industrial metal way, complete with electronics, very reminiscent of early 200's nu-metal bands. These guys have a similar sound and style to that of bands like Orgy, Crossbreed and Pitchshifter. So if you like any of these bands, you could really like this band. They have done a pretty good job here. 

When looking at the recording quality of this alum, the album has been recorded to a fairly decent quality. The vocals seem to have a bit of a lesser quality that you can hear within the album. these seem to have been recorded quieter and not as crisp as the instruments.  The instrumentation on this album isn't too bad to be honest. At times it feel pretty average, and then shows points of just going all for it. You can certainly tell that the band can play and has good solid work all over the album, so thats great. 

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are not bad. There are hints of very powerful range, and being able to hold the notes for quite awhile, but all in all it feels like its right in the middle area. It may be the recording or the vocals themselves, but they sound like they are lacking in the tone or musicality of the singing. all in all not bad. With the lyrics, the band goes for songs of loss, relationships, loneliness, and death. These are topics that music heavier bands talk about, so it should be relatable to the listener. you can understand what he's singing about too so its nice that you can get the full understanding of the lyrics.

If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Face The Forgiveness" your attention, as this is the best song on the album, and really encapsulates the full fell of the album in one song. You will get the idea of the album with this one. 

Blind Eye Era have made a debut album that really introduces you to the band, and gives them something to work from. These songs also give them material to get out and play shows. These guys have gone a pretty good job on this album, and I'm glad to have heard it. Can't wait to see what they come up with next. Of The First Born Son have released their debut self-titled album. These guys have a very typical heavy core band feel to them. They have a similar sound to that of a band like Attila, Abacabb, and early All That Remains, so if you like bands like this, you could like this album. They have done an alright job here.

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to an alright quality. It has some rough points, and the production as a whole could be a little clearer and more crisp, but it does give a certain metal vibe with it. The instrumentation here isn't bad either. they do show off their ability to shred and play guitar through the album. These guys can certainly play, and its showcased here. Not bad in all.

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are pretty good, They are more just deep screams, but the vocalist seems to be able to accomplish them. If you listen closely to the singer, you can make out most of what he is saying, so thats awesome he is clear enough to get the meaning of the songs out. He does need some work on his technique, but for a first album, this is good. With the lyrics, the band goes for songs that are stereotypical in metal. They talk about hate, relationships, and more. These lyrics don't really attach to the listener or really do anything in the meaning category, but they do give off a vibe and a feel that makes the music enjoyable. 

If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen. We particularly like "You Can't 2-Step in a Wheelchair" so give them a listen so you get the idea of this band.

Of The First Born Son have released an album that shows off the style and sound of the band. This also gives them a base for people to get into them and something to start playing shows off of. They have done an alright job for a debut album, There are a few things that need to be fixed, but as a fist album we like it. We also can't wait to see what they do on the next one. A Rebel Few have released their debut album titled "As The Crow Flies". This album is one that shows off the band in a very dirty rock and metal way. They have that feel of being blue collar, east-enders, and it's portrayed through the music. These guys have a similar sound to that of bands like Hellyeah, Five Finger Death Punch, and even Texas Hippie Coalition. So if you are into bands like this, you could really like this album. They've done an alright job here.

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded in a pretty average quality. This does however help with the sound that they are going for. The grungy, dirty feeling of their music is felt with the bit rougher recording. We feel that this is just the right quality, so you get the bar band feel with it. With the instrumentation, the band is also pretty average in this particular element as well. Yes the band can pull off solos, but for the metal they are doing, it feels too much and over done. The rest of it has a very par outing as a whole. 

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals have a bit of a raspy, and grungy feel to them. They are however clear, and you can tell just what the singer is saying, so this heals get the meaning of the songs. One of the things though is, the singer seems to hold his words, at the end of every sentence. The reverberation at the end of every sentence just kills the authenticity on the songs. Just hold the note. He can certainly sing, and props to that for sure, we are just not into it.  With the lyrics, the band goes for songs about finding yourself, giving into temptation, travelling around and spending money carefree. These feel like very typical topics, and have some very broad way of saying what they want. This could help many people have their own interpretation of the songs, but also doesn't narrow it down to exactly one thing, time or place. All in all, the lyrics aren't bad though. 

If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Rebel Few" your attention, as this is the song the band decided to make a single, and show off their style and sound to the masses with. This should give you an idea of the band.

A Rebel Few have made a debut album that shows off the band, and gives you a dive into the band and their music for the first time. The album gives the band something to go on, and be able to start playing shows to people and start to build a fanbase. We feel that the band could do a bit better here, and we look forward to seeing what the band comes up with next. Choices have released their debut album titled "Paradise Lost." This album shows the band in a very melodic metal way. They have a sound thats hard to say just exactly where they fit. These guys have such melodic parts, that it's almost too much at times, but then the music sounds post-hardcore for sure. This band has a similar sound to that of a more melodic In Flames or Erra without the screamed vocals, so if you like that music, you could like this album. The guys here have done a pretty decent job on these songs.

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded very well, and has a super clear, crisp sound to the songs. The producer did a really good job on these songs. With the instrumentation on this album, the guys go straight into showing you what they can do. "Benevolent" is an instrumental track that shows off the bands guitar skills, and lets you know this band has skills for sure. 

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, with the vocals, the singer decided to go for a more melodic touch here. At times the vocalist goes a little too melodic, and it lacks some harshness because of it. On the song "Mended" when the vocalist starts singing, it is hard to catch what he is saying, and it ends up sounding like a jumbled mess for a few bars. Other than this, the vocals are really solid and you can certainly tell he can sing. For the lyrics, the band goes for songs about relationships, depression, getting better, and fighting through. This album has a theme with it, starting with an ending relationship and ending with getting through ang thriving. It's pretty cool how you can listen through on this journey the singer goes through while listening to the whole album. They have done a good job on the lyrics.

If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Coming To Life" your attention, as it is the best song on the album, and really encapsulates what this whole album is about. 

Choices have made an album that is pretty decent, and can be listened to by the casual or new metalcore listener, an the metalcore enthusiast looking for a break from all the screams. All in all, this is a good album, introduces you to the band, and gives them something to get them out to playing shows. Give this album a listen to decide for yourself what you think of it. Norris have released their debut album with a super long title. This album shows the band in a chaotic and noisy way. The band seems to have things going off in every which direction, which is a bit of a sensory overload. They have a similar sound to that of a band like A Textbook Tragedy, Job For A Cowboy or even a Pig Destroyer, so if you are into bands like this, you could really like this album. They have done an alright job here. 

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to an an okay level. This may intentionally feel like this with all the chaotic time shifts and things, but the recording just kind of seems like a mess. Now yes it could be more clear and crisp, but this also helps with the feel the band is going for on the record. With the instrumentation, the band can certainly play, and they shift from fast to slow and back, but unless you can really focus, you'll not understand the talent here. We think this band can really play and they do a solid job at what they are doing here.

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, with the vocals, the singer has some very screeched vocals here, which could use some work, as they at times just sound like someone throwing up. They do however work for the music, but again, not as polished. The actual singing part on the songs could also use work. We do think there is potential here though. With the lyrics, they are a bit hard to hear and understand with the style of vocals. Honestly we can't really tell you what they are singing about, which sucks because that an element of the music lost, but we still listen for what it is.

Norris have made a debut album that really shows off what the band wants to do, and gives you an idea of the direction this band wants to go. This is a starter into the band and what they are doing. They have done a pretty good job here with how chaotic it is, and how the musicianship is on this album. We feel they did an alright job here, and it will be interesting to see what they come up with next. We aren't really a fan of this type of metal but we can respect what's going on here. Dear Black Diary have released their debut album which is self-titled.  This album has a very dark and heavy feel to it. They have a very all over the place sound,  and very chaoticness to their music. These guys have a similar sound to that of a From A Second Story Window or even in that realm of that Heavy Heavy Low Low stuff. They have done a pretty good job on this album.

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to an average standard really. The recording isn't great, but its not bad either. We do however suggest that the style of music they play, could help in this with all the chaotic things going on. The instrumentation here is done pretty decently, a it's hard to play all over the place, while still holding a sense of cohesion.  These guys do that, and still show their musical talent. We think this is a good effort on the instrumentation and peaks our interest to hear more. 

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are done pretty well. The bands vocalist can certainly scream. This does however take away from the ability to hear what the lyrics are and what the song is about. he certainly can hold his screams and go for a long time too, which is pretty impressive. All in all, we fell the vocals are done well for the style the band is going for. With the lyrics, it is pretty hard to decipher what they are saying, as the screaming is intense and there is no record of any lyrics online or in the liner notes of the album. This makes it especially hard for people who are big lyrics and meaning music lovers, to get into this album. However we do not feel this album was made for music fans who listen that way. 

If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Life Is The Number One Cause Of Death" your attention, as this is the best song o n the album, and really gives you a solid sense of what the band is about as well as how the rest of the album sounds.

Dear Black Diary have made a debut album that is chaotic and heavy. This album shows off their style and sound to the masses for the first time and helps people to know what they are about. We are not to big on this genre of metal or type of music, but we do see t he potential in this band. We would love to hear more and see whats next for these guys. A Dying Race have released their third album titled "Escaping Your Fate". This album shows the band has continued on with the same sound and style from the previous two albums. The band seems to have a punkish metal sound to them, and it still work with things bands are doing today. They seem to have a similar sound to that of early Protest The Hero, The Fullblast and even A Loss For Words, so if you are into any of these bands, you could like this album. They have done a pretty solid job here. 

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a pretty decent quality. Now the vocals have a bit more of a lesser sounding quality, but this could be with the way the singer is singing. All in all, this is a solid sounding record. The instrumentation is pretty good as well. You can tell the band knows how to play, and play fast. They are however not going to blow you away with crazy solos or guitar riffs, but they can certainly play.

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, with the vocals, you can certainly tell that the singer can sing. He is pretty clear, but has a little bit of a whiney voice that makes it sound a tiny bit lesser quality. With the lyrics, the band goes for songs about fighting back, making life yours, how society is going, and more. These seem to be the type of lyrics you find more in the punk scene, which is where they are trying to fit into. We feel the people they are targeting will understand and get these lyrics. They definitely have a theme to their music and seems to be working.

A Dying Race have made an album that follows suit with their sound and style created previously. They have a solid foundation, and this is probably the best overall showing of the band as a whole. We really like this album and think it is one you should check out. Don't just take our word for it, listen to the album yourself and decide what you think.

Caym have released their debut album titled "Thriving On Chaos". This album is one that shows off the band in a very metal light. These guys seem to have more of that grungy, play on the wrong side of town sound. They have a similar sound to that of Anvil, Sepultura and DevilDriver, so if you like band like that, you could like this album. They have done a pretty good job here. 

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to an alright quality. The music could be a little crisper and the vocals could be louder to match the music. It just feels like the vocals aren't quite to the quality of the music. With the instrumentation, the band has done a really solid job. You can certainly tell they can play, and their ability make you turn your ear and take notice. 

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album have a pretty screeched feel to them. Their singer can sing, but it feels a little forced and hard to completely understand what he is saying.  Listening to the backing vocals, they are hard to listen to and sound out of tune. Not bad, but there is some work to be done for sure. With the lyrics, they are hard to quite understand just what the vocalist is singing about. After listening to the album, we get songs about fear, pain, relationships and conflict with others. These are pretty typical themes in songs, especially in metal. We feel people can get a grasp on this and relate. Not a bad job.

Besegra have released their debut album titled "Infortunium". This album shows the band in a very thrash metal way. With blazing guitar riffs and heavy chugs, coupled with screeching vocals, make this bands sound. They have a similar sound to that of bands like Iron Maiden, Overkill, Testement type of bands, so if you like those bands, you could really like this album. They have done a pretty decent job here. When looking at the recording quality of the album, this album has been recorded to a pretty good quality. This has a nice listenability to it, and you can hear the lyrics with the guitar. This recording stands up. The instrumentation on this album is solid. Their guitarists can certainly play, and they highlight their skills all throughout the album. If you like fast paced, guitar heavy albums, this is one for you. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are a little quiet, and are on the guttural vocal side, but he does a good job, and they really work with the style of music the band does. For the most part you can tell what he is singing about, which is pretty decent for this style. With the lyrics, the band sings songs about pain, hatred, getting back at others, and more. This seems to be a staple in the metal scene, so a lot of people can associate with this. They also try to say the most brutal things to to noticed as well. This isn't really a bad thing. All in all, they have done a good job lyrically here.

If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen and you will get the idea of the rest of the album. Besegra have made an album that shows off and introduces you to the sound and style of this band. They took a few years to record this, so if you are a fan already, you may already know these songs. We think they have done a pretty good job here and would like to see what comes next from the band. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
