Besegra have released their debut album titled "Infortunium". This album shows the band in a very thrash metal way. With blazing guitar riffs and heavy chugs, coupled with screeching vocals, make this bands sound. They have a similar sound to that of bands like Iron Maiden, Overkill, Testement type of bands, so if you like those bands, you could really like this album. They have done a pretty decent job here. When looking at the recording quality of the album, this album has been recorded to a pretty good quality. This has a nice listenability to it, and you can hear the lyrics with the guitar. This recording stands up. The instrumentation on this album is solid. Their guitarists can certainly play, and they highlight their skills all throughout the album. If you like fast paced, guitar heavy albums, this is one for you. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are a little quiet, and are on the guttural vocal side, but he does a good job, and they really work with the style of music the band does. For the most part you can tell what he is singing about, which is pretty decent for this style. With the lyrics, the band sings songs about pain, hatred, getting back at others, and more. This seems to be a staple in the metal scene, so a lot of people can associate with this. They also try to say the most brutal things to to noticed as well. This isn't really a bad thing. All in all, they have done a good job lyrically here.

Ending Tyranny have released their third album titled "Evolution Of Deceit." This album has quite a similar style and sound of their previous albums. The band goes for those growled death metal vocals and high sheiks to give them the typical death metal sound. These guys have a similar sound to that of a Beneath The Massacre, or a Suicide Silence, so if you are into either of those bands, you could like this album. They have done a solid job here. When looking at the instrumentation on this album, we feel this is the biggest change here. These guys have decided to turn it up a notch with faster guitars and heavy on the double kick, these guys can play fast and loud. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the vocals on this record are pretty growled and hard to understand just what they are singing about. This being said, they do a pretty solid job of melding the vocals to the harsh music the rest of the band is playing. With the lyrics, although hard to hear, the band sings about social and political issues throughout this album. We feel not a lot of bands do this in the metal genre, so we respect them for that for sure. The band has a message they want you to hear, and they stick to it. We feel that's a pretty good job. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one. We suggest you give the song "12 Palms" your attention, and this will give you an idea of the rest of this album. Ending Tyranny have followed the path of their previous album, making this one just faster and louder. We like the style and sound heard on this album. The guys in Ending Tyranny have to play more and get out there so more fans can hear what they are about. Other then this, we feel the band has done an overall solid job on this album. Dead City Citizens have released their debut album which happens to be self titled. This album shows the band in a very fast paced punk way. These guys have that true punk feel with songs that only last about 2 mins on average. They have a similar sound to bands like early Rancid, The Casualties, and The Exploited, so if you like band like this, you could really like this album. They have done an okay job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a very dirty, DIY feel to it. You can tell there is a lot of work needed in the recording of this album, but it also sounds a bit like the band wanted it this way for their dirty, punk image. The instrumentation isn't bad, but it is nothing that will make you stand up and take notice, its a sloppy fast punk record. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the vocals on this album are fast and forceful here. He can definitely keep it going with the fast paced vocals, but it is hard to understand at times. With the lyrics, as they are hard to hear, we can't really comment on them too much, but what we can tell you is, this band is going for songs with a more political nature here, which isn't the best content to talk about if you are trying to get as many fans as possible. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. Dead City Citizen have a bit of work here to do, but it is no secret as to the type of band and music they want to go with. Hopefully they can get a bit of a better recording here so you can decipher them a little more. The band just needs to get out and play shows as well so people know them. Its a start for sure. Harbour have released their fourth EP titled "Dead In The Water." This album is a bit of a weird one as the band took so long to finish it and it was supposed to be a full length. What we got was six songs of pop punk music. This is also the bands indie label debut. They have a similar sound to that of early 2000's punk and pop punk combined, so if you were more of a 2000's punk person, you could really like this album. They have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a pretty decent level that gives these sounds a good sound. The instrumentation is pretty standard on this album. The band can certainly play and they do show off a little bit on the album, but for the most part it is pretty standard. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are pretty much the same as their previous album, if you have heard those before. Their vocalist can certainly sing and sing well, but they have pretty much stuck with the same things they have been doing all along. With the lyrics, the band has gone for songs about relationships for the most part. This is pretty typical for bands in this genre to sing about, as it is the easiest and lots of people at the age of this band can relate to this subject. Not bad all in all. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "7 Days" your attention, as it is the best song on the album and the one that gives you the best idea of how the album sounds. Harbour's fourth EP is one that unfortunately doesn't quite stand up to their previous album. They just don't have a song that is instantly catchy like "Grade School Summer" was. Although this is still a decent album, none of these songs are going to take over for that song or album. We also hope to see this band get out there and play more, and play shows in other towns where they are the support instead of the headliner. The band hasn't toured much since this album came out and we'd like to see that change. Decent job all in all. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

The Bartops have released their debut album titled "Punk Rock Barbershop." This album shows off this new band in a pretty pop punk style. They have a little bit of a 50's punk mix to their music. This band reminds us of Bowling For Soup with a mix of Chicago vocals, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. They have done a pretty good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded pretty well, but the vocals could be louder. The instrumentation is pretty standard for what you would expect, so nothing here is really going to surprise you. The band can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are not bad, but again not loud enough, but they can certainly sing. The vocals are nice, clear and soft as well. With the lyrics, the band goes for messages of girls, relationships, and going through life. These are pretty standard lyrics, so don't expect anything to technical or sophisticated, just lyrics for the everyday dude. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. The Bartops have made a somewhat different style of punk music here. It has a sound that seems like it would hit an older target market, but is also something unique, so we aren't really sure who this would hit. We are honestly not a fan of the vocal style, but that doesn't mean you won't. Kudos for trying something different though, that is what is going to get you noticed. The Vermicious Knid have released their second album titled "Smalltown Devotion/Hometown Compulsion." This album follows along the same lines as their debut, with a sound that is quite the Emo sound. They have a similar sound to that of Moneen and Brand new, so if you are into those bands, you could enjoy this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, it has been recorded to a fair standard, but the album as a whole, including the vocals could use a bit of an upgrade to get a clearer and louder sound. The instrumentation on the album isn't bad, the band can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, as mentioned before, the vocals are a little quiet and could be louder and more upfront but overall they are not bad. The vocalist is clear and you can hear everything he is saying. With the lyrics, the bands goes the route of more having you interpret what the meaning is. They want you to get whatever you think the songs are about from it and read your own ideas. On the other side, they have song about your demons and that sort of thing. Avadence have released their debut album titled "The Best Mistake." This album is one that definitely has a pop punk feel to it. These guys have a similar sound to that of a Mayday Parade or an early Maine, so if you like those bands, you could really like this album. They have done an okay job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, not quite sure if the quality just hasn't stood up since it was recorded or it wasn't great to start off with, but it doesn't have the best sound to it. The instrumentation on the album is pretty average, they can certainly play though, which is a really good sign. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the vocals here are probably the bright spot of the album, as the singer can sing, while being quite clear and having a good voice to go along with it. With the lyrics, these ones are quite what you would expect from a young pop punk band. Songs about girls, break ups and having fun are some of the subjects covered here. They are not the best lyrics, but you can see the potential here. The Ascot Royals have released their debut album which happens to be self titled.This album is one that shows this band as quite the indie rock band here. These guys are not the typical indie band, they have elements of soft rock in there as well, but they fit the indie mold. We think of this band as a Arkells or Broncho, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly decently and it sounds good. The instrumentation on this album is done fairly well also, the band can play and the guitar is pretty solid at times. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the vocals and this album are done decently and you can clearly hear the singer. He has a nice voice and it works well with the style they are going for. With the lyrics on this album, they are a little more on the sophisticated side of things but that is the type of thing the people who listen to this music are looking for. Alright lyrics here but they could use a little tweaking here and there. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. the Ascot Royals have made an album here that really sticks out. It rides the line of that more adult rock while still being for that indie lover. They have done a pretty good job overall on this album, while still being a bit different than the other bands. Bring Atlas Down - Endless

Bring Atlas Down have released their debut single "Endless." This song shows the band doing a version of metalcore that incorporates keyboards. They have made this one sound like a Norma Jean or a  My Ticket Home type of band. They have done an alright job on this song. When looking at the recording of this song, it could have been done better, but it is still alright for a home recorded song. The instrumentation is average but solid here. Both the singers, singing and screaming have done a pretty good job, but the background singer is a bit off at times. Overall, the band has done a good job on this song. This is all of the songs that Victory, Sweet Victory did with their original singer. This is not an official release, but its the songs that would of made up their EP, along with an alternate version of one of their songs. This album is pop punk at its heyday, so think of bands like Mayday Parade and The Maine when you listen to this or are deciding if you'd like to. They have done and alright job. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the quality is not the greatest, but that is because at least one of the songs is live off the floor, but the instrumentation on the songs is pretty good. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the lyrics could use some work being more meaningful but the  vocals on these songs are very solid, the vocalist did a great job singing on these songs. If you are looking for a single for this album, give the song "Sun And The Stars" your attention as it is by far the best song on the album and shows you what the feel of the album is the best. Victory, Sweet Victory! have a bright future ahead of them with the newer songs written for this album. Hopefully they just keep on writing and playing shows and they will get somewhere. End Of April have released their second album titled "Shattered". This album shows the band in a light of trying to be a metalcore band with keyboards in it. The band is doing just an okay job here on this album. This band is in with the As I Lay Dying, Unearth sound. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the recordings themselves don't exactly sound the greatest but they are not unlistenable, and the band does seem to be able to play so thats a good thing but the keyboards seem a little oddly placed in this music. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the background vocals, being the singer, need some work for sure and the screams are just alright. With the lyrics, these are also on the average side, but thats also okay. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick any song and give it a listen so you know what the album sounds like. End Of April have a good start here with the talent of the instruments, now just with a little better recording and some more progression, this band could really work with this.
