Out Of My League have released their second album titled "Oblivion." This album follows the same sound and style as their debut. These guys have a similar sound to that of a Sanction or even The Plot In You, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. The guys have done a really good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the band has made sure that it has a solid sound to it. The album has a sound that doesn't sound too produced, but doesn't sound amateur either. Good job. The instrumentation is nothing really that will perk an ear to what the are playing, but they an certainly play, and aren't trying to overplay. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are a mix between screamed and almost screeched vocals. They are however clear enough that you can tell just what the singer is singing about, which is definitely something needed in this genre.  Their vocalist can certainly sing. With the lyrics, the band has decided to go for messages of regretting something you've done, Relapsing on addictions, things falling apart, pain and more. We can really feel the way the singer is feeling here on this album. Hopefully getting all of this out will show others that there are people feeling the same. We hope the singer can feel some resolve getting all of this out. Solid job on the lyrics.If you are looking for a single to this album, give the first track "Slowdeath" your attention as it is the best song on the album and really gives you the best taste for the rest of the album. Out Of My League have made their second album very powerful with the lyrics they are singing. We can feel the pain here and hope this is a release. We think the whole album has been done well, and we can't wait to see whats next. The band toured across Canada with this album so we hope they turned heads. In The Act Of Violence have released their debut album titled "Hell From The Heavens." This album is a brutal punch to the face of metal. These guys like to do it heavy, with deep growled vocals. They have a similar sound to that of Emmure or a band like Within The Ruins, so if you like music like that, you could like this album. They have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to an alright quality. The instrumentation on this album is nothing that is  going to make you take notice of these guys, but they can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are very deep and brutal, but unfortunately they are on a level where you can't hear the lyrics, which is something we like to look at. There is however a market for growled vocals like this, and the singer can do it, we judge a little more on that. With the lyrics, the band goes for lyrics that are the most crazy and how "metal" they can be. Again there is a market for that, but we like more of a meaningful message in our music.  Not bad though. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. In The Act Of Violence have made a heavy album that certainly will hit the metalhead crowd hard. They have a real solid foundation with this album, and it will get people to know what they are about. We hope that these guys keep going and build on this with their next album. Now they just need to hit more markets to get people to know about them. Eleven Past One have released their debut album titled "The Ultimate Catch." This album is a mix between that poppy rock band and that regular alternative rock band. They seem to be trying for that Hedley, Marianas Trench, Faber Drive sort of style, so if you like those bands, you could possibly like this album. These guys have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded well, and the production on the songs is solid, but the songs just don't seem to grab us. The instrumentation is pretty good, the band can play, and there are flashes of solid guitar work here, so the band has it down on this element. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are probably the best part, as their vocalist can certainly sing, and he has that nice melody that makes you just want to get wrapped up in his vocals. You can hear everything he says and it's super clear. With the lyrics, the band seems to go for messages of both sides of girls. They go for the side of her being the best thing ever and never wanting to let her go, over to the being broken and sad from a girl as well as not being able to figure out the things they do. Overall, this is an album about girls and relationships for the most part. I'm sure both sexes can relate to these lyrics, so it has a relatable quality to everyone, which should maximize the amount of people they can turn into fans. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Eleven Past One have made an album that really hits that pop rock, and more a female fan base here. They have something that could really work if they can get the perfect polished song. Out Of My League have released their debut album titled "Resented." This album has a very hardcore feel to it. The band has decided that they want a more brutal feel to their hardcore and it really brings the heaviness. These guys have a similar sound to a Stick To Your Guns or even The Plot In You, so if you like these bands, you will like this album. They have done a really good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded very well here and has a solid sound. The instrumentation on the album is what you would expect from a typical hardcore band. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals have a bit of a stressed scream feel to them, but he is still clear enough that you can get what he is singing about. Decent vocals overall. Now with the lyrics, the band goes for messages of being a coward, marked out and wishing you hadn't made the decision you did. Now their final song is about recovering from all of that. This is nice to have a switch song at the end while the rest seem to be all about the bad things and hopefully are therapeutic for the band. Everyone goes through hard times, you are not the only one, is an overall message for the listener on this album. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Blind" your attention as it really shows off the skills the band has ad well as their brutality. This song also happens to feature the singer of Falsifier. Out Of My League have made a debut album that is solid and really welcomes you to the band with a huge bang. We are quite impressed with this album and we can't wait to see what else is in store for this band. Now they just need to play all of Southern Ontario more. Great job. This Is Death Valley have released their debut album titled "We Are The Destroyer." This album is one that really has that heavy elements to it and they are also very hard hitting. These guys know how to bring it and have fit into their local scene very well. These guys have a similar sound the that of a Suicide Silence or even a Rings Of Saturn, so if you like those artists, you could very well like this album. This album has a very dirty and raw sound to which in the recording of the album might not have been to the best possible quality, that's okay though, it works with the style. The instrumentation on the album is not band, the band shows off hints of their ability here and there. These guys can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are very deep and screamed. At times you can't even tell what the vocalist is singing about. Then they also do pig squeals which just make it even harder. The vocals are certainly brutal though which is what the band is going for. With the lyrics, the band goes on with a message of deep, dark, heavy hate and just sing brutal lyrics to fit with their style. The lyrics are certainly not bad, just not to really send a message, just to listen to. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of this album. This Is Death Valley have made a brutal metal album that will appeal to fans of heavy music and give them something they are looking for.  Messy And Mediocre is a demo by Lint. They have done a good job with this, well as far as horribly recorded lyrics and bad, simple lyrics can get you. This band has come a long way with playing their first show in late 2013. The band seems to have a following, and the songs are decent. Get on it and listen, what are you waiting for?

Lint's first demo is one that shows a band in the beginning stages. Despite the quality of the records, you can tell this band is has a lot of potential, and is going to do something great. Listening to this band, you can also tell that the singer is a great songwriter because the  lyrics are awesome. So give a new band a shot, and tell all of your friends. Give them a listen, you won't be disappointed.
