We Are Human - We Are Human

1. New Scars, Old Habits
2. Existence
3. Strive
4. Apotheosis

We Are Human is the evolution of their previous band Misguided Aggression. This album shows the band in that heavy, dirty, grimy metal style that you see being played in the smaller, not as nice bars. They have more of a late 2000's style here, so we would suggest that if you like bands like Unearth, know Misguided Aggression or a Threat Signal, then you may like this album. They have done an alright job here. When looking at the recording quality on this album, the album has been recorded to a standard level. The recordings do sound a little dirty and grimy, but we are pretty sure that's what the band wanted. all in all, it is listenable and its a clear recording, so not bad. The instrumentation however is also pretty standard. These guys can certainly play, but it wont turn your head in terms of musicianship. This is just a regularly played album. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are a little bit low in the mix, and sounds a little rough. He certainly can sing though, and you can hear the words clear enough. They are more growly vocals, but we can make them out good enough. With the lyrics, the band goes for songs about doing the same thing over and expecting new results, making mistakes and more. This seems to be a repetitive theme in the songs, and they are something others can relate to. The lyrics are a little hard to get the meaning from, but thats what makes you delve into the song more. Not bad. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "New Scars, Old Habits" your attention as it best represents the album as a whole. We Are Human have made an album that follows what they were doing previously as musicians, and it would be too hard for someone to come over and like this as well. We would like to see a bigger sample of what the band can do, but for now, this isn't bad and we can't wait to see whats next. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Odium - At The Bottom

1. Oblivion's Gate
2. Frailty
3. Serenity's End
4. Population Zero
5. At The Bottom
6. The Failure
7. It Goes Cold
8. Lifting The Veil
9. Need To Exist
10. The Abyss Stared Back

Odium have released their debut album titled "At The Bottom." Their debut album shows the band in a euro thrash metal style here. When we listen to this band, we get an In Flames, Soilwork or even a Demon Hunter feel to the band, so if you are into either of those bands, you could like this album. Not to shabby on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the band has made sure the album has a pretty decent sound to it. We certainly agree. The instrumentation on the album is quite good as well. These guys can certainly play, and they show it off right from the start with the album. Now onto the vocals and lyrics on this album. The vocals on this album are something to be hold, especially for a debut album. Those high, long held notes are something that is prett impressive to us. While the screams are also done quite well. He can sing and scream, that is for sure. With the lyrics, the band goes for songs about regretting choices made, pushing things away when they are no longer new, leaving, relationships and more. These are a bit more in-depth than your average band. You can tell the band is a bit older with the words they chose and the way they tell the same sort of stories younger bands would not have the foresight to go. We think the band has done a really good job on the lyrics with this album. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "At The Bottom" your attention as it is the title track and the best song on the album. This will give you an idea of the rest of the album as well. Odium have made a debut album that is quite solid for a band just starting out. We think this band has something that could go far, as long as they get the right attention and tour. We can't wait to see what comes next. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Papa Fogals Chair - Face Melter

1. Spirit
2. Wicked
3. Angry Goodwin
4. Ugly
5. Bottom Lip
6. One Day

Papa Fogals Chair have released their debut album titled "Face Melter." This album album has quite a 90's metal feel to it. The band has gone for more or a classic metal feel to their debut. They have a similar sound to that of Pantera or a Clutch, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. They have done an alright job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the band has recorded this album fairly well actually. It has stood up. The instrumentation on this album is not bad, these guys can certainly play. This band does show off what they can do on certain songs on this album as well. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are pretty generic to what you would expect a metal bands lyrics to sound like. He has that style of vocals that you see in more of the dive bar than the concert hall, but you can hear him and for the most part, you can tell what the lyrics are. Now with the lyrics, the band goes for more of an angrier lyric with songs about how ugly a person can be, how people attract negativity, and pretty much just getting screwed by someone. We can tell the vocalist was having trouble with someone on this album. We know that people don't always see eye to eye and that this can be relatible to a variety of people. The lyrics could use some work to not be so one sided, but other then that, they did an alright job. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album.Papa Fogals Chair have made a debut, sort of welcome to album that shows just what kind of band their want to be. You can see that there is still work to be done, but this gives the band a foundation to build on. Now they just need to get out and play. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits R.I.P.

Ironbound - Demo

1. Sound
2. Priorities
3. Ninja Scream
4. Guardian
5. Ghost

Ironbound have released their debut recording which they have decided to just call "Demo." This album is a very metal album that goes back to the times of hair metal and high screamed vocals. Something that isn't really going to far in the stream of music lately. They have a similar sound to Ozzy or a Judas Priest, so if you like those artists, you could like this album. They have done an okay job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to just an okay standard. As it is a demo we expect this but it could have at least been recorded a little better, especially the vocals. The instrumentation on this album is the highlight here, they can certainly play guitar well and their drumming is shown off on this album as well. These guys can certainly play their instruments. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are pretty average, not only does the singer sound like a very popular band, but it is drowned out by the guitars. From what we could hear, we think the vocals could use a little work here as they just seem very average. With the lyric, the band seems to go for very rock lyrics that seem to be over used, such as bad signings or having songs with no vocals at all. Some songs we can't even really distinguish what the song is saying lyrically do to the poor recording of them. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of this band. Ironbound have yes made a demo which can only go up from here. We feel the vocals need to be recorded better to get a better overall idea of their sound, but from this we can tell the band can play. With some more playing and getting into venues that old drunks don't hang out in, along with a change in style to a type of metal that isn't already played out, then they could go somewhere with their talent. Hope to see what they can come up with next. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think about it.

Decatur - Badder Than Brooklyn

1. Internal War
2. Into The Night
3. Vegas Girl
4. Worst Enemy
5. Badder Than Brooklyn
6. Bottled Inside
7. Tear You
8. Abaddon
9. Shatterproof
10. Internal War Pt. II

Decatur have released their debut album titled "Badder Than Brooklyn." This album has a very metal feel to it. If you are into the older metal bands like Five Finger Death Punch, Metallica, or even a Fear Factory, so if you like those artists, you could like this album. The album was recorded in New York by Gorjira's Joe Duplantier, so you may want to check it out if you like Gorjira as well. Not a bad album honestly. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded quite well and has a very stereotypical metal sound to it. This bands instrumentation is quite good on this album, the band has certainly decided to do fast guitars with solos on it which raise eyebrows. These guys can certainly play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are an essential part of every album, and on Decatur's new album, they a great mix of Fear Factory like singing and metal screams that actually are done pretty clear so you can get all the lyrics. Their singer can certainly sing and he gives the album a solid notch to it. With the lyrics, the band has decided to give you messages that sometimes are just what you would expect of a metal band, girls and having fun living the rock star life. They also have songs about not seeing eye to eye on things and being tough. Now we really think this band could use some work on the lyrics, getting more flowing lyrics and using different vocabulary to just build the song up more. Not a bad effort for a debut though. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Decatur have made a debut album that really does rock but shows that there are some things to work on. Hopefully stretching words out to make the songs longer is a trick that they don't use on the next album. All in all, not bad for a debut. We hope to see what they can do with a little more time under their belt. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Heaven Ablaze - Cerebral Catacombs

1. Parhelia
2. King Of The Neverworld
3. As I Bring To Waste
4. Stand

Heaven Ablaze have released their fourth album titled "Cerebral Catacombs." This album is one that really hits well in the heavier metal scene. They have gone for that trashy, growled vocals way that fits right into what the stereotypical metalhead listens to. They have a similar sound to that of Pantara or a Battlecross to an extent. If you like these bands, you could really like this album. These guys have done a pretty good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a fairly well standard, it could use a little work though. The instrumentation on this album is decent, they do grab your attention with some of the guitar work. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are all deep screams, and a bit of pig squeals mixed it at times. With them, they are a little hard to figure out what the vocalist is saying but if you listen a little closer you can get the joist. overall not a bad metal singer. With the lyrics, they are a little hard to understand and hear, but they have a more angry, death and evil message within them. There isn't really anything of real substance to them, just a story and some heavy music to rock to. if you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of this album. Heaven Ablaze have made a brutal album that that really sounds good and works well all wrapped up together. All in all, not a bad album. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

2. Visions Through Bleeding Eyes
3. Redemption Comes Calling
4. Dance Of The Wicked
5. The Darkened Decline
6. The Lashing (Trilogy Intro)
7. Burning Defiance (Trilogy Song 1)
8. Crusade For Deliverance (Trilogy Song 2)
9. Casting Judgment (Trilogy Song 3)

Heaven Ablaze have released their third album titled "Proclamation Armageddon." This album is on that really brings the death metal out there. With the loud guitars and the deathly vocals, this combination will make any death metal fan find this album appealing. They have done a decent job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been done fairly well, but the sound quality of the album could have been just a little bit better. The instrumentation on this album has been done very well, these guys can certainly play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are pretty decent, but it is hard to get a real handle on the lyrics with this vocal style. The lyrics are not something you can really comment on as they are hard to grasp here. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Heaven Ablaze have done a pretty decent job here on this album. The band has really done well with getting the right sound and the instrumentation on this one which is a real plus in this scene. We hope to see these guys get out more and play everywhere so that they can get their name up. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

A Faster Now - Fighter

1. Fighter
2. Desperation
3. Street Life
4. Media Mind Control
5. Cross The Line
6. Armed And Loaded
7. Live Or Die

A Faster Now's debut album is a metal filled journey through what the band wants to take you on. This band has written an album that is just what you expect the typical sort of thrash metal band to sound like. These guys have a sort of mix between a Pantera and a Metallica, so if you like those bands, you might  like this album. When you look at the recording quality of the album, it has been done alright, the music sounds pretty good, but when you look at the vocals, they could have been done just a little louder and clearer for this. Onto the lyrics of this album, they seem like they could use some work, the lyrics are pretty average, they need more substance to them. If you are looking for a single to listen to for this album, give the song "Fighter" your attention as it is a heavy riff filled anthem and is the first song of the album. A Faster Now is doing the typical Metal deal here and maybe  it could use a bit of tweaking and some more progression to where they can stand out from the rest of the pack. Good job for the guys on a first album. Listen to this album and  make your own mind out about this album. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

13 Lashes - 13 Lashes

http://www.myspace.com/13lashes
http://www.facebook.com/pages/13-LASHES/99125809273

1. We Stand Tall
2. Voices
3. Force: Continuum
4. Dawn Of A New Day
5. Self Reflections
6. Nothing Set In Stone
7. Ring Of Terror
8. Stolen Identity
9. Control Through Deception
10. Perception Of The Ignorant

13 lashes have released their debut self titled album. This album shows the band in a metal light where you would typically call it dirty and grungy metal. When you first listen to this album, you get the sense that this album is your very stereotypical metal and metal band. They do have solos and decent guitar work in spots, but the generic screamed vocals certainly need some work here. With the recording of the album, this album could also use some work with the recording and the vocals, plus the lyrics seem to need some reworking too. However their instrumentation does have glimpses of decent work here. This album doesn't have one song you should listen to over the others, they are all pretty generic when it comes to metal, so just click on one and see what you think. Overall, this band needs a bunch of work and with some progression and tweaking of what they are doing so that it isn't so generic would make them a lot better. They do have spots of hope though, so don't totally count them out. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

13 Blessings - 13 Blessings

1. Cutting Through Me
2. Forgotten
3. Long Goodbye

This band is your typical run of the mill Metal band, nothing special, nothing new. These songs are not the best, as they are just pre-production tracks, but thats all the band got done. Don't expect anything other then very basic metal here, like you would see at the sketchy bar down the street. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
