5. Dead Ends

The Divine Right Of Kings have released their second album titled "Dead Ends." This album follows along with what the bands sound and style that was established with their debut album. The album has a similar sound to a Norma Jean or a Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster, so if you like those bands, you could really like this album. They have done not too bad of a job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded on an alright scale. The bands instrumentation on this album is nothing spectacular, but it is just a nicely played album. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the vocals on this album aren't too bad, he can certainly scream, but the background vocals need a little work as they sound a bit out of tune and pitch at times. With the lyrics, they seem to have that feeling down, being low and in the gutter message to them. This can be good as people need to know that they are not alone in this felling. A little more uplifting lyrics could be good to add. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. The Divine Right Of Kings are going in the right direction and doing things to get ahead. This album is not bad and it continues to build the band and give them more songs to play. Overall we enjoy this album. Keep it up and play more shows. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

The Divine Right Of Kings - The Divine Right Of Kings

1. Deadbeat
2. Insult To Injury
3. Organ Donor

http://www.mediafire.com/?762chf5gi318jj0

The Divine Right Of Kings have released their debut EP titled "The Divine Right Of Kings." This album shows off the beginning of the band while trying to get that Southern Hardcore feel to their music. The band has the feel of Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster and Dead And Divine, so if you like those bands, you could like these guys. When looking at the recording quality of this album, you can tell that the band has put too much bass up front on the album and it kind of takes away from the rest of the album. Looking at the instrumentation, its alright, but nothing over the top. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the vocals sound decent for the type of music they are going for but the lyrics could use a little bit of work to get more of a real true meaning into the songs. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just listen to the whole album as it is only three songs, then you;ll get the feel of the band. The Divine Right of Kings have done and alright job of welcoming us to their band and style on this album. Hopefully the band can fix up the little issues with this EP and give us a bigger taste next time, while playing more shows. Look forward to see what these guys come up with next. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Hunter City Madness - See You In Hell

1. See You In Hell
2. Pleatherface
3. Shake 'Em
4. Bad Venom
5. Booze Hound
6. Spreading Panic (Like Legs)
7. Old Habits Of Young Lovers

Hunter City Madness have released their debut album "See You In Hell." This album shows a band that has come out of the gate strong. On this album, you can tell they have decent instrumentation, and the lyrics are alright. The recording quality of this album is pretty good as well. This band seems to have the skills, and with a solid album in place here, could take their music to the next level.  The song "Pleatherface" is the best song on this album, so if you are going to listen to this one, give it your attention first. Listen to this band, they have a lot of potential here and have made a good album. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

Foxfight - Foxfight

1. The High Way
2. Dream Screamer
3. Cash Is King

Foxfight have released their debut self titled album. With this album, you can hear the southern rock influence within the songs. This is not bad as it gives the band a bit of a twist. Now the music and lyrics seem to be decent, lyric seem to be alright and the members seem to be able to play pretty well here. These three songs are a preview to what we can expect in the future, and it seems that they are on their way to having one. "Cash Is King" seems to be the stand out here, but all songs follow the same format, so listen to this one and you'll know what the rest sounds like. Give this band a chance, you'll probably like it.

Foxfight - Lunatic

1. Lunatic

Along with a new lineup, Foxfight have released their brand new single titled "Lunatic".  This song features a lineup, that if you are familiar with the local london scene, you will recognize. Be that as it may, if you know their previous stuff, this is different for sure. These guys have a similar sound to local bands Searching For Satellites or The Jettison Commitment. This may be since one of the members used to be in one of the aforementioned bands. On the larger scale, we would say, bands like He Is Legend or Norma Jean would be close to this band as well. They have done a pretty solid job here.

When looking at the recording quality of this song, the song has been recorded to a pretty solid offering. This is a very listenable song, and it really grabs the power without drowning the vocals out. The instrumentation is nothing the is going to wow you, but these guys can  play, and play well they do. Listen to the bass especially here. Solid musicians overall on this song.

Now onto the vocals and lyrics of the song.  the vocals on this song are pretty good, but they seem to have a bit of a forced and stretched feel to them. At times with his screaming style, it is hard to get all the words. The vocals are the weakest part of the song, but you have to remember, this is only their fourth ever recorded song. With the lyrics, the band sings about haters or a relationship from what we can tell. This is on the more common side of areas discussed in music, especially metalcore. Not a bad job overall, would just like a little less stressed out vocals.

Foxfight has released their new single and it shows off their new sound and lineup. We think that this could be a turnaround for the band and bring people back to remembering this band. They have done an alright job here. Listen to the song to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

Through These Words - Challenger

1. Challenger
2. Mouth Of The South
3. Back To The Sky
4. James Ready
5. For The Sake Of Yourself

Through These Words debut EP is one that some people didn't quite like, fortunately for me, I am not one of them. this band blends metalcore with a hint of the south, to a tune that is almost magic to the ears. These guys are one of the up and coming bands in the scene here, and if you like this kind of music, have you been living under a rock? watch out, these guys are good, so put them in your ears.

EA (Episodic Aggression) - EA

1. The Silence (Intro)
2. The Sleepless
3. The Grind
4. The Unfaithful
5. The Party
6. The Vagabond
7. The Panic
8. The Struggle

This is Episodic Aggression's EP, I think. I'm not sure if this is too many songs, the right order or what. I found all these songs online and they seemed to go together. if anyone has any info, I'd be happy to have it passed along. That being said, this is a good bunch of songs, and you will like them if you are into this genre.
