Return For Refund have released their debut self titled album. This album has a very southern rock style and sound to it. These guys go for that older crowd in their music and have a little less of a generic sound. The album has a similar sound to that of bands like Theory Of A Deadman and Deafult, so if you like those artists, you could like this album. They have done a pretty good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly well here. The instrumentation is not bad either, more on the regular side, with flashes of great guitar work, but the band shows they can definitely play well. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are pretty decent, he can certainly sing and he's got a voice for that raspy hard rock that people seemed to like at the beginning of the 2000's. Good singing overall. With the lyrics, the band goes on with subjects about taking the path of life, saying crew it and going things while also having a song about relationships. Not bad lyrics, and they go with the music well. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "The Fields" your attention as it is the best song on the album and gives you a great idea as to what the rest of the album is like. Return For Refund's debut album really shows off the rock and gives them a high standard right off the bat. We were impressed at the bands abilities and the album as a whole. Now just need to get out more. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
