Acacia have released their second album titled "Baker Street." On this album, the band went for that huge, grungy, dirty metal feel. They have some screamed vocals mixed in with female vocals as well, which makes it unique. This band has the same sort of sound as a Dillinger Escape Plan or a Converge, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. These guys have done a decent job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album could certainly use some work, but that may be due to the age of the record. It has a somewhat flat sort of feel to the recording and there is just something we can't pin point that lack of fullness. The instrumentation on the album though is done solidly. You can hear the potential this band has and their unique style within their talents. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are not bad, the female voice could be a little better as she sounds a little out of tune, but the screaming is spot on and gives it a full aggressive feel. Overall the vocals of the screamer fit in just perfectly. With the lyrics, although not many and hard to figure out at times. This album is so all over the place, we can't tell what the songs are about honestly, and some are just tracks put in. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and listen away. Acacia have really made an album that is very experimental and very creative. Watering Hole - Watering Hole

Watering Hole have released their debut album which happens to be self titled. This album shows this starting band as one that really is  looking to do that dark, heavy hardcore that seems to be what a lot of bands are getting into these days. They have a similar sound to that of Turncoat or even a Terror, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. They have some work to do here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded very rough and is pretty much just giving you something to know what the band sounds like. The instrumentation here is nothing to really talk about, it's pretty average, but The Conjure has a pretty good section of guitar work in it.. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals seem to be pretty screamed but can still just barely be understood fully when they sing. The guy screaming less is more easily understood. Not bad vocals but could use some work. With the lyrics, the band goes for the typical hardcore lyrics of things not going well and being poor. They also sing about the world sucking and how tough it is. These lyrics could use some work to be more meaningful and imaginative to stand out. Watering Hole have made a debut album that shows what they are about and thats pretty much it. Hundred Proof have released their debut album titled "Extended Player." This album is one that is quite the typical hardcore punk. They have a very raw feel and it is pretty much what you would expect. They have a similar sound to that of bands like Terror and Trapped Under Ice, so if you like these bands, you could like this album. The band have done an alright job on the album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, it could really use some work, but then this genre is known for dirty, raw and unpolished music. The instrumentation on this album isn't anything to really get your attention, as the band is just really playing as fast and sloppy as they can. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the vocals on this album certainly go with the style they are trying to make, but they could use a little work to get fuller and louder. He can sing this music, and isn't too bad. With the lyrics, the band goes for those hard, tough lyrics you expect from a hardcore band, messages about hate, anger and how people can screw you over. If you are a hardcore fan. this could be something for you. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Career Suicide - Demo 2

Career Suicide have released their second demo album which features songs from their upcoming full length album. This album is pretty similar to their previous effort, in both styling and sound. They still have that very hardcore punk sound and keep it raw. The guys have a very Black Flag and Sex Pistols sound, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. The band has done a job at making fast songs here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album needs a fair bit of work on the recording side. They are however going for that sloppy, raw punk feel so they have achieved it. The instrumentation on this album needs work as well, although this genre is all about the dirty, fast and raw style. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals here work quite well for the hardcore punk genre. He goes fast and raw which makes the band sound just like many of those nostalgic punk bands. It works quite well with the music. With the lyrics, the band has gone for some pretty angry, angsty lyrics that show the band is tired of a few things going on in life. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Career Suicide have done an alright job at giving this the hardcore punk treatment. They have a few back recordings which also enhance the songs. Closet Monster have released their third album titled "A Fight For What Is Right." This album is straight up what you think of when you think of a real punk band. They have that fast traditional punk feel to them and it works. If you are looking for similar bands, they would be NOFX or a MXPX so if you are into those bands, you could really like this album. They have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a fairly decent standard for a late 90's recording. As far as the instrumentation on the album, it is pretty much what you would expect from a typical punk band, nothing flashing but just straight playing. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are not bad, you can hear what the singer is saying and it works well with the style the band is going for. Not bad here. With the lyrics, they seem to have a very angsty, against the establishment and just doing whatever you want to kind of way to them. This band really wants to be against anything, not growing up and find your own thing. This is something that a lot of people into this genre are into so it works. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. Closet Monster have made an album that really fits the punk rock style and just what people want to hear. Hopefully with a little better recording and a little more style to make you know off the bat it's Closet Monster, this could be big. Overall it is not bad. Uplift have released their second album titled "Making The Most." This album is one that really shows off the band and their very typical hardcore punk style that they showed off on their debut. This band has quite a similar sound to that of Expire or a Knocked Loose, if you like those bands, you could really like this album. Uplift have really improved here between their first and second album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, it has been recorded not too badly, obviously it could use a little work, but it sounds nice. The instrumentation on the album isn't anything to boast about, but they can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are a little bit to be desired, but they are somewhat clear and it does really go with style they are trying to sing. Unfortunately we are not into that high pitched, whatever singing that is though. With the lyrics, they hit on what the typical hardcore punk bands are singing about and kind of hit that need for a change route on this album. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. Uplift have made an album that really brings them along in their career and it is nice to see. We hope to see more out of this band and get a little more refined sound in there. Not bad overall. Bastard Child Death Cult have released their debut album titled "Year Zero." This album is one that shows the band in a very hardcore punk way. They have a dirty vocal style and a raw guitar sound here that works well for what they are going for. These guys have a sound similar to a Black Flag or a Forgotten Rebels, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album could of been recorded better, but for that dirty raw feel, this album works that way. The bands instrumentation isn't bad either as you do get solos in their music and they can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are pretty good, you can hear what the singer is saying. With the lyrics, the guys have pretty dark lyrics and lyrics that appeal to the squater lifestyle, they hit the right market with these lyrics and they sound like they believe what they sing about. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Radio Silence" your attention as it is the best song on the album and gives you a perfect feel of how the album is. Bastard Child Death Cult have made a welcome to album that gives them a base. From this, they can progress and expand what they are trying to do, but they now have a foundation to work with and it isn't bad. Hopefully they do progress and make this their own. Career Suicide have released their debut recording "Demo." This album is the very base of Career Suicide and shows you what way the band is starting to go in. They have a sound that is very hardcore in the punk sense and their songs are very short, fast songs. The sound like a Flag or a Sex Pistols, so if you like those bands, you could like this band. They have done an okay job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded pretty poorly, but that is what you expect with a very basic demo album and one that is this style of hardcore punk. You are able to notice that the guys are able to play their instruments fast here. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are really distorted and hard to hear, so that is a problem, especially for being to hear or tell what any of the lyrics are. if you are looking for a single, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of the album. Career Suicide now have a base to work with since making this album. It is very basic bare bones stuff, but from this all you can do is go up. Wasted Potential have released their debut album. This is just a demo album, but it does give you a first glimpse into what the band is doing and what they plan the band to be like. This is quite the punk album with a  sound similar to Bad Religion and Pennywise. They have done a pretty good job for a demo. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded alright but could use some crisping up with clearer guitar, as well as making the songs longer so that it doesn't feel like you just turned the song on before its over, then it would be set. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the vocals could use some work, but this is real punk rock so that dirty not so clear vocal style is what works with this genre. The lyrics on the album could use a little more work to be more meaningful and what the punk kids want to hear about. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick any song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Wasted Potential have done a pretty good job on their demo, as there are some obvious things to fix up, the guitar work on the album is a decent highlight for the band. We hope as the band progresses that they keep the core of what they have here because its a good start and we are curious to see what else the band comes up with. Broadcast Zero have released their debut album titled "Yesterday, You Could Change The World." This album is a very punk album. With the fast riffs and the screamed vocals, combine with the political lyrics to give this album a very punk feel. The band has done a good job to make this very punk. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album could obviously use some touches here and there, but that would loose the raw punk feel of the album. Now onto the lyrics and the vocals, the vocals could use a bit of work, but they have the typical vocals that punk does as well the lyrics could use some work in more meaning that a general person could connect with. The band has done a pretty good job here, but again the songs could be a little longer and not as fast. Broadcast Zero have made a very punk album that hits a very certain target of music listener. Daybreak Boys have released their debut album, which is self titled. This band is a very hardcore punky band with the feel of a band like Outbreak or Comeback Kid. You can tell that this is a very basic and very bare bones first album as you get introduced to the band. When looking at the recording quality of this album, it could have been recorded a whole lot better and the instrumentation could of been way better as well, but hey, its a young band, they will learn and get better. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the vocals are okay, and the lyrics could use some work as well. One of the major things is the length of each song, the band definitely needs to make longer songs. If you are looking for a single to this album, you are out of luck, so just pick a song and listen to it to get the idea of the album. Daybreak Boys have really made the most bare bones first release you could make, which just means, only way is up. Acacia have released their debut album titled "Untune The Sky". This album is one that started it all for the band. When this album was released, the band members were still in high school, so this one is very much a beginning and a welcome to for the guys. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded alright, but not the greatest, as this is a 90's release and probably not the greatest studio, but it does hit pretty hard. The instrumentation is pretty good here though. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the lyrics are a bit hard to understand but they are decent, but the vocals could be a little clearer so you could tell the lyrics better, b ut the screaming is good. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the overall feel and sound of the album. Acacia have gone really heavy and with lots of growls, but it has a pretty good sound for the band, so this would be our guess as to how come the band actually did pretty decently.
