Career Suicide have released their second demo album which features songs from their upcoming full length album. This album is pretty similar to their previous effort, in both styling and sound. They still have that very hardcore punk sound and keep it raw. The guys have a very Black Flag and Sex Pistols sound, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. The band has done a job at making fast songs here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album needs a fair bit of work on the recording side. They are however going for that sloppy, raw punk feel so they have achieved it. The instrumentation on this album needs work as well, although this genre is all about the dirty, fast and raw style. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals here work quite well for the hardcore punk genre. He goes fast and raw which makes the band sound just like many of those nostalgic punk bands. It works quite well with the music. With the lyrics, the band has gone for some pretty angry, angsty lyrics that show the band is tired of a few things going on in life. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Career Suicide have done an alright job at giving this the hardcore punk treatment. They have a few back recordings which also enhance the songs. Hopefully with a little more getting out there, the band can get a bit bigger. Can't wait to see what the next album sounds like. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
