Coma After Crash have released their debut set of demos, they have aptly named "Demo 2009". This album shows the band in a very raw sounding format. You can tell there is a bit of something here though. They have a similar sound to that of an A7X or a Holy Springs Disaster, so if you like either of these bands, you could like this album. They have done an alright job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has a very raw and demo feeling to it, hence the demo term for the album. This album is not as clean or polished as it could be, which affects the listenability of the album. there are however some highlights here. The guitar on here is pretty solid, and with a few tweaks/lessons on the vocals, he could nail it. With a more polished sound, we feel you could really get the proper feel and more appreciation for the band. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. All in all, this isn't too bad for a bands first offering here. With some more practice, more songs, shows etc. this band could really show its'self. Hopefully we get a little bit more of everything from this band. We look forward to seeing whats next. Basement Dweller - Post Self Deprecation Core

Basement Dweller have released his debut album titled "Post Self Deprecation Core." This album is very much a raw punk album. He has made a very rough starter album so you know what he sounds like. He has a similar sound to that of The Penske File or Brutal Youth, so if you like those artists, you could like this album. He has done an okay job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has a very poor quality to it. This feels more like an off the floor demo then an actual album, but it does the trick to show you what he is about. The instrumentation isn't bad here, bit it is nothing that is going to blow you away. He can certainly play so that is great. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are very raspy and at times screamed. He can sing, but not sure if it is the recording quality or his voice that make it hard to hear the lyrics at times. We think he did an alright job for what is there. With the lyrics, he sings about having a crazy night, getting drunk and being pissed off, not caring and just being a punk all around. This feels like the singer is in a place where he just doesn't care about anything and wants to just scream and not deal with anything. We know that everyone gets this way at times and can relate to what he is saying.
If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Basement Dweller have made a very basic starter album to let you know what this artists wants to sound like. He has a lot of growing and building to do, but this lays a foundation. Cross Dog - Vigilante

Cross Dog have released their second album titled "Vigilante." This album is a hardcore punk type of sound with just drum and bass in the music with a female singer. When listening to it, we get a sort of Die Mannequin feel to it, so if you like that band, you could like these guys. When looking at the recording quality of the album, the album has been recorded alright, but it could of used a bit more work. This album is suppose to sound like a grungy rock sound though so it's expected to be that way. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the vocals are kinds of grungy and raspy as well, but thats how they wanted them, and the lyrics could be more meaningful but they aren't bad. If you are looking for a single for this album, give the song "High Grain" your attention as it is the best song and it shows what the feel of the album is. Cross Dog have done a pretty good job on this album, its not quite a sound that we like, but for the people that do like this style, it works really well. Hopefully this band progresses and makes this really work. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Television Rd have released their debut album titled "Character Splatters". This album hows the band in a weird light, as it'd not really indie, not really jazz, but sort of a weird in between. The band does know how to play their and the quality is decent, but the style is somewhat odd. They are however due credit as this something different, and it is unique, but it could use some progression to get their sound totally refined. One song to listen to would be "Fry The Hound" this song exemplifies what this album is all about. Overall, this is a good effort for a band on a debut album, Give this album a listen and tell us what you think of it.
