Cruel Bloom have released their second album titled "Ketamine." This album is a mix of really grimy hardcore punk, to brutal death metal. There seems to be a little bit of uncertainty with this band still. They have a similar sound to the crust punk type of bands and the really punk bands you think of from they 80's. They have done an okay job here, but this type of punk is suppose to sound sloppy. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a pretty average standard, but again, they want to to sound grimy and sloppy. The instrumentation is pretty average, although the band can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the bands' vocalist can certainly sing the style they are going for but it is really hard to pick out the lyrics with his style. Not a bad singer for this genre. With the lyrics, since you can't really pick them out, it is hard to grasp that the singer is singing about all the crap in the world and the things that suck. These are very typical songs in this way for similar bands. The lyrics could use a little work as the band is still young. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Cruel Bloom still haven't quite figured out what they want to do, so if they do manage that, and to clean the vocals up a bit, this band might be able to bring more people to their music. Joru have released their debut self titled album. This album is instrumental, and in the vein of what Intervals was previously doing. When listening to this album, you can tell that these guys a very talented and their guitar work is great. of course one of the things holding this band back is the lack of a singer or rest of the band, which even Intervals had to go out and get. The other thing is the quality of these songs is not great, but it still shows the talent. This is a really good start for these talented guitarists and look forward to what they come out with in the future, This was a pleasant surprise to hear a but you could do with a full band, maybe not, just get some better recordings and the talent will sell its self. This will surprise you and you'll want to listen, so give it a chance, you won't regret it.

Cruel Bloom have released their debut album "Plastique." Unfortunately, this is a band who decided way too early in the process of being a band, to record a full album. This album is rough, raw, and almost unbearable to listen to. One thing they do have going for them, is that they are trying to be a dirty, scuzzy, punk band, but even then, you still need decent quality recorded songs. Give this band effort for trying, but in the grand scheme of things, what they have right now, won't get them too far unless they improve.

After The Anthems have released their third album "What If The Astronauts Are Lying." This album is full of adolescent pop rock songs that make you want to rock along with them. For what this band is trying to do here on this album, they have done a very good job. This album is something you should really listen to. The song "One Time I Replayed The Empire State Of Mind" is a mashup of all three of those songs, and it is done very well. Overall, this band has solid instrumentation and decent lyrics for this album, so thats great. Give this album a listen to as you need to know about this band

After The Anthems - It's Deja Vu All Over Again

After The Anthems first EP is a pop rock filled album with the hint of punk. I think you will like this album if you are into bands like Hawk Nelson, it reminds me of them. This album is decent, and you should check it out.

One Way Out - Salvage What's Left

One Way Out have come out with theirs second release entitled "Salvage What's Left". This album has a real amateur pop punk sound to it. The band has a sound that of someone like Faber Drive, Reliant K or a Simple Plan. If you like those bands, you could like these guys. They have done a pretty good job here.

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the band has recorded this album to a certainly needs more work recording here. At times it feels really rough, but on other spots the vocals and guitars sound pretty decent. There is work to be done, and the whole album could be clear and crisper, but it works as a first go around. The instrumentation on this album isn't too bad. You can tell that the band can certainly play, but it is nothing that's going to blow you away. These guys just play good old regular music. There isn't really much more than that.

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, with the vocals, the singer has a really nice melodic voice that you can hear quite clearly, although the recording isn't quite crisp enough. You can hear all the words, and that helps you be able to tell just what they are singing about, to get the meaning of the songs. There is a bit of a younger sound to the vocals, but that's okay, it doesn't detract from the album. With the lyrics, the band goes for songs about struggle and trying to get away and make a new life. These things are talked about a lot in music, this genre especially. The lyrics will definitely hit the audience they are targeting, as this is a common thing with listener of this genre. Not too bad all in all.  

If you are looking for a s ingle to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song, or listen to the whole thing as it is only three songs. This will give you an idea of the band. 

One Way Out have made an EP that adds to their discography, and gives them more to pull from and play in their set at shows. These guys are on a decent path to keep rising and grabbing fans. We can't wait to hear what's next. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
