I Hate Sally - Sickness Of The Ages

1. Intro
2. Clean Up The Blood
3. Crushed Against The Grain
4. Iron Fist
5. Sickness Of The Ages
6. Under The Ribs Of Death
7. In The Name Of Democracy
8. Root Of All Evil
9. This Must Be Hell
10. Wake Up Screaming

I Hate Sally have released their debut album titled "Sickness Of The Ages". This album shows the band as a very heavy screaming, aggressive band and sound. The album has a pretty raw and unique sound to it, that isn't really associated with this type of music. These guys have a similar sound to bands like Flee The Scene, Converge, or Johnny Truant, so if you liked any of these bands, you could like this album. They have done an okay job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the music has been recorded fairly well, while the vocals seem very distant, distorted and hard to hear. We think the vocals could have been recorded a little better. The instrumentation on the album is actually pretty solid. This band can play, and they show off what they can do throughout the album. Solid job on this part of the album for sure. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, with the vocals, they are very growly and dark. We aren't sure if its the quality or not, but the vocals are pretty hard to hear at times, so getting the lyrics out, might be a little harder. He can certainly scream, and he does a good job at it though. All in all, not too bad. With the lyrics, the band seems to go for songs about having voices inside that eat away at you, change how you do things, society and more. It seems like they have gone a more political sort of route, and want you to believe in your own way, doing things the way you want to. This is a good message, but it doesn't always work. We feel people can get behind this though. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't really one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of the album. I Hate Sally has established a style and sound that they'd like you to get into. This introduction seems a little raw and rough around the edges, but with a refined recording, we thing this could really hit. Listen to this album to decide what you think, we can't wait to hear whats next. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

Alex Bien - Deadly & Given EP

1. All Falls Down
2. Deadly & Given
3. The Crimson
4. The Wave
5. Lost Lines
6. Hell To Pay
7. Lighthouse

Alex Bien have released their first album titled "Deadly & Given EP." This album has the sound and feel of a solo acoustic folk artist. We don't really know what to say about him except that we can see this is in the beginning recording for him and at times you can tell he wasn't quite sure the sound he wanted. This album feels like a mix between Grey Kingdom and SayWeCanFly, so if you are into either of those, or that style of music, you could like this album. He's done an alright job here. The instrumentation is pretty simple, with basic guitar/banjo and some synth on a couple songs. He can play, but it also feels like he is still working out the kinks and trying to find himself along with his confidence in his music. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are a little different than a traditional singer. He certainly has that very Canadiana and indie style in his singing. Who I think of the most is someone like Fred Penner with the closest voice I can think of. He can sing, but it feels like he starts off too quiet and then at the end verse or line, he gets loud enough to where you can hear what hes saying without having to focus really hard. With the lyrics, Alex sings about pretty basic topics like relationships, and feelings. We would love to hear more complex subject and songs with a bit more meaning in them, but this is an alright start for someone to go with. This is the safe bet for a first offering. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of the album. Alex has made an album that shows you the sound and style that he wants to go in with his music. We feel if he could get a little more loud in his singing, we could feel it more, but this is alright for a first album. We weren't too big on it, but maybe you will be. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think about it.

PS I Love You - PS I Love You EP

1. Subtle And Majestic
2. Facelove
3. Scattered
4. Actually (I'm A Monster Now)
5. Notes And Stuff

PS I Love You has released their debut album titled "The PS I Love You EP." Their debut album shows the band wanting to go in that very indie, diy, not very polished sound. There isn't really one band that stands out to us as this album sounding like, but just very indie. So if you are a big indie rock fan, you should have no problem getting into this music. They have done an okay job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, you can tell the album is very raw and something the band just made to get music out there, but it works, and you have to start somewhere. With the instrumentation on this album, you can tell it is very simple, in almost a singer-songwriter way. Sometimes you just need something simple and soothing to listen to. Now onto the vocals and lyrics. The vocals on this album seem very quiet, to where you can't really pick out the lyrics. You can however pick out, but you can pick out that he can keep it soft, and give nice Ooos in the songs. Now the lyrics are quite hard to hear, but from what we can hear, the band likes to use sort of words and things for you to kind of dig deeper into the lyrics and really figure out on your own what they mean. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. PS I Love You have written a debut album that really just introduces you to the band, and let you know what kind of music the band has decided to make. There is a lot of growth and potential here, which we hope the band uses, goes for and on the way, gets some nice pro sounding music to give us a more true look at the band. Solid effort here for a debut and we hope to see more. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Blossom - Weight Of The World

1. Intro
2. Weight Of The World
3. Vacant
4. Bottom Feeder
5. Look My Way
6. Interlude
7. True Hearts
8. Pale
9. Kick In The Head

Blossom have released their debut album, titled "Weight Of The World." This album is one that has a very metal feel to it. These guys really bring that heavy, growled vocal sound to their music. The band seems to have a bit of an Every Time I Die sound to them, with a knocked loose feel to them as well., so if you like either bands, you could like this album. They have done a decent job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album doesn't seem to be as clean sounding as it could be. Not sure if that was the intention or not. The instrumentation of the album seems to be pretty average. Average in that there just doesn't seem to be anything new in the playing or sound. This band can certainly play though. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are pretty much all screamed. You can get a pretty good idea of what they are singing about still though. When the clean vocals kick in, they are very short but not bad. We would say the screams could be better, but with a debut, that is not a bad job. With the lyrics, the band has decided to go for a very hardcore style of lyrics, singing about injustices and things happening in the world. They also go for more harsh songs telling people to quit complaining. We feel the band could of gone for lyrics more people could relate to more, but all in all, not a bad job. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Blossom have made a debut album that really brings the hardcore. Hopefully with a few tweaks and better vocal recording, we could get a truer picture of this band. We think the band did pretty well though. Now all that needs to be done is for the band to get out more and expose people to their music. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

The Glorious Sons - Shapeless Art

1. White Noise
2. Mama
3. Shapeless Art
4. Caroline
5. Baby
6. Ruby

The Glorious Sons have released their debut album titled "Shapeless Art." This album shows the band in a mix of the throwback rock along with newer rock. This band definitely has put together a sound that rides the line very well, so that they can appeal to both types of rock fans. They have a similar sound to that of a Monster Truck and Greta Van Fleet, so if you like those artists, you will probably like this album. They have done a very good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the band has recorded an album that  has a great sound and is ready to be played on the radio right away. Solid recording that should hold up for years. The instrumentation is nothing that is going to blow you away, but this band can certainly play just a good, solid, straight rock and roll. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album have a bit of a country, southern rock feel to them, but their vocalist can really sing nice and clear. He has a powerful voice as well which helps to really bring this record together. With the lyrics, the band sings about relationships and not listening to the white noise around you. They sing about various relationships with different ladies and it is pretty much a story into his different escapades with ladies. You can get into this record lyrically if you've had some of these same issues, but we feel the lyrics are a little more personal to the vocalist. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Mama" your attention as we feel it is the best song and will give you the best idea of the album as a whole. The Glorious Sons have made an album that really fits the rock genre at this time and what is going on with it now. We think the band did an overall great job here and showcased that they can rock, as well as slow it down on the album. We can't wait to see what the band does next. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Will Hunter Band - Last Summer

1.What We Used To Say
2. Young And Hopeless
3. Challenger
4. Ghosts
5. Reckless

http://www.mediafire.com/?0d9unmjv763847h

Will Hunter Band have released their debut album titled "Last Summer." Last Summer is an album that welcomes you to what the band is doing. Well what are they doing you ask? they are making straight forward indie rock that is in the vein of a Arkells or a Born Ruffians, so if you like those band, you could like this album. They have done an alright job on the album. When looking at the recording quality of the album, the album has been recorded fairly decently. For the instrumentation of the album, it isn't really something to write home about, but not bad. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are alright on this album, they don't blow you away but they are nice and clear which is nice. With the lyrics, they don't really hold much meaning or substance, they just kinda seem to be there and pretty fluffy, but it is sometimes nice to have music that doesn't really mean much. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Will Hunter and his band have made a sort of welcome to album that gives you an idea of how they want to sound and a carefree album that you can just listen to. Hopefully with a little progression they can develop more of their own sound, but for now this is pretty good. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

A Cat Named Wolf - Sleeps The Long Way Home

1. I Am A Small Travel
2. Grind Psalm
3. Take Only Take
4. Drunk, Lonely, Sick & Drunk
5. Fat Boy Wailer
6. Spendthrift
7. Oh Three Sixty Three

A Cat Named Wolf is a band that has a very different style to them. You can see it here on their debut album "Sleeps The Long Way Home." This album has a very soft sound and fits a very niche market with this. They are pretty good at doing what they do, and their lyrics are ok, but that's not so much the point with this. Give this band a chance as it's unique and interesting.

Everlea's debut full length album is one that seems to sooth the soul. The beautiful light, airy rock, just seems to hit you with a nice happy feeling that makes you love the band. Few bands are able to play the style that Everlea does, and still manage to keep the rock fans happy, but they seem to do it masterfully. This band is one that will strike a chord with everyone.
