Treble Charger have released their debut album titled "NC17." The band chose this title for the album as this was their previous band name, but had to change it due to another band having the same name. They have a typical alternative rock feel to this album and it is easy to appeal to whoever like rock, as well it is easy to get this kind of rock on the radio. They have a similar sound to that of Our Lady Peace and I Mother Earth, so if you like these artists, you could really like this album. They have done a pretty decent job on the album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album could use a little work on the recording, but as it is a debut done by the band and made over 20 years ago, it sounds pretty good. The instrumentation on the album is not bad either, it shows flashes of potential to really make it with their playing ability. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are a little too quiet but in the end work really well for that perfect blend of radio rock, right in the middle of sound. He can certainly sing and is not outside of  his genre. Overall all not bad on the vocals. With the lyrics, they topple topics that are very typical of the bands that fit into this genre as well. Life, love, disrepair and popcorn chicken are things they sing about. The listeners can connect with what the band is singing about and this is quite nice. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Red" your attention as it is the bast song on the album and really shows what the band is all about. Treble Charger have made a sort of welcome to album that really shows off their skills and makes you want more. Hopefully the band will get out more and we can get even more of a taste of the band. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think about it. We like this album. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
