1. Dear Diary
2. New Canvas
3. Close To You
4. The Story
5. Keeping Score
6. Without Me

Angela Saini has released her debut album titled "Cake And Callouses." This album is on that has a singer-songwriter feel with alternative style. She has this style that would probably made it on a Woman & Songs album as she sort of fits the bill of that music. She has a similar sound to that of an Alanis Morssette or even a Holly McNarland, so if you like those artists, then you could really like her. This album has been done pretty well. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a fairly well standard. It could use just a touch here and there, but overall, pretty good sound. The instrumentation on this album could use a little more to it ass it is pretty soft, light music here, not saying it band, just could use more. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals from Angela on this album are quite good, she can certainly sing and gives it her all on these six tracks. We would like to hear a little more power, but that is what she is going for so we understand. With the lyrics, Angela has hit topics like, love and life, empowerment and self-renewal. It is nice to hear this because sometimes other people need to hear that to get up and help make a change as well. Great lyrics here and they work well with her style. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Angela Saini has made a debut album that really hits the female singer-songwriter field and gives us a good luck at what she is trying to do with her music. We enjoyed listen to each of these songs and we hope she can get out and sing them to as many people. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
