Adrian Pain & The Dead Sexy have released their second album titled "Picture Day At Night School." This one follows the style and sound that the band created on their debut. It is something different that you don't really hear. Different doesn't always mean good though. The band has similarities to that of second tier nu-metal bands along with screams. These guys like to call themselves "All-Core" but it is more like a mess of metal. they have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to an alright level, could use a little work, but still not bad. The bands instrumentation on the album is pretty good actually, its nice to see a bright spot here. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals from the singer just do not fit in this style of band. He sounds like a dad who is trying to fit in with the younger kids. The screams on the album need work as well, they sound too forced and a bit amateur here. Lets not take away that their singer can certainly sing though. With the lyrics, they need a little work as well, they don't really have very sophisticated lyrics here and have a very broad, simple lyric style while singing about topics like no one liking them and hoping someone is out there for them. If you are looking for a single to this album, listen to the song "Sleeping Beauty" as this is the song the band picked out as their best for you to hear. Adrian Pain & The Dead sexy have made an album here that really has a sound and style that feels like a band that would open for the metal band people have forgotten about playing at The Rockpile to people that go there every week. There is still hope though for this band. Listen to this album t o decide for yourself what you think of it.
