Mayfield have released their debut album titled "Let It Be Known." This album takes you on a hardcore journey through the mind of Mayfield. The band has a similar sound the that of The Ghost inside or a Counterparts, so if you are into either of those bands, you could really like this album. The band has done a pretty good job on this one. When looking at the recording quality of the album, the album has been recorded to a pretty decent standard. On the instrumentation side, the band can play, but ut us nothing that is going to blow you away. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals have that hardcore sound to them that resemble Counterparts and give you the style of vocals every hardcore fan is looking for. He can certainly sing and the screams are done nicely. With the lyrics, the band take them to a place of loss, and picking up the pieces again. This is something we can all relate to at some time or another. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of this album. Mayfield have released a debut album that really shows of their hardcore and metal style to a pretty good quality. This album has the listenability and the want to replay it.
