Serial Joe have released their debut album titled "Kicked." This album shows off the young band in a very alternative rock way, trying to continue on with that popular 90's rock style.  They have a similar sound to that of a Matthew Good Band or a Our Lady Peace, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. This has a very kid like sound to it but they have done a pretty decent job on the album. Looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded pretty good, but it needs a bit of work to get the more polished sound to it. These kids have a pretty good instrumentation here, they can really play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are pretty childlike sounding which makes sense since these guys are so young. He can song and you can tell what he is saying which is nice. With the lyrics, these are probably the short coming of  the band as they are from a very youthful place and are lacking the real substance that more mature artists have. Not saying that they are not good, they just could use more than just being angry young kids. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Skidrow" your attention as it is the best song on the album and it shows off what they are doing on the album the best. Serial Joe have made a welcome to album that shows, with a little bit or work and progression, this could really be something. They have the potential here. We like the album overall. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
