Summerside have released their debut full length album titled "Lessons On How To Detach." This album is one that really shows off the pop rock sort of pop punk feel that is loved right now. The band has a sound that is similar to a band like Not By Choice or even a Hedley, so if you like those bands, you could like these guys. They have done a pretty good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album could of used a little more quality and a bigger sound while being louder. This one just seems to be missing something production wise. With the instrumentation, it isn't bad but it is nothing to wow you, just straight decent playing. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are done fairly well and you can certainly tell what he is saying well. For the lyrics, these guys have written songs that just seem to be pop punk songs about friends, girls, etc and they fit what the band is doing. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "To Friends" your attention as it is the best song on the album and it really shows off the feel of the album. Summerside have made their debut, welcome to album one that shows the band has some potential here. It is nice to start off and have a decent base to work with for your next albums and this is what they have. We can't wait to see what the band comes  up with next and we hope the band really gets out there and makes a name to get more buzz about the band. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
