Single Mothers have released their debut album "Wild Party." This band has a very sloppy indie and punk sound that they have decided to go with which doesn't really seem like the way to go, but it does work. Think of any of those bands possible a PUP sort of sound. When looking at the recording quality of this album, given that it has be redone and the band wants their songs to be all sloppy and grungy, it sounds pretty decent. Looking at the instrumentation, it is average as well, but that what the bands who play this are like and what the band was going for in the sound, so thats okay also. Now looking at the vocals and lyrics, the vocals could use a little work also, but hey, and the lyrics aren't that meaningful, but we like the stories within the songs. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and listen to it to get the feel of the album. Single Mothers are a band that isn't doing it the traditional way, but thats okay because they have managed to make a decent album that attracts the fans of their style of punk to it. Hopefully they can just keep it going, play more shows and get the name all over. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
