Through Lucid Eyes have the typical post hardcore sound here on their debut self titled album, but they are not letting anyone stop them. The band has a sound that reminds us of people like A Bullet For Pretty Boy or Sworn In. When looking at the recording quality of this album, we thought that the sound was a little bit too much in the background but the instrumentation is a little above average so that really helps here. Now onto the lyrics and the vocals, the lyrics are pretty good here, we like them but the screamed vocals could use a little work as they sound to be a bit forced here. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Through Lucid Eyes have something here that could really work in their favor. The overall sound of this album is on the cusp of being something that could really push its way through.
