Antibliss have released their debut album, which they have decided to self title. This album is a very rough and raw representation of the Canadian style of indie music that has been pushing through the airwaves in recent times. These guys have a similar sound to that of a 90's alt rock band if they were acoustic driven. So if you are into raw sounding 90's rock, you could like this album. They have done an alright job. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a pretty rough, distorted and raw way. This is however something the band was going for in the recording process, so it may throw off people who like cleaner recordings, but it reaches fans. The instrumentation on the album is pretty straight forward and simple. You can't really get much more stripped down than an acoustic and vocals, so it won't blow your mind in this way. Now onto the vocals and lyrics. The vocals on this album are not bad, you can certainly hear all the words and know just what the singer is trying to say. The negative part in here is how he seems to hold some of the notes too long and  go out of tune. Some of the effects also make it hard to hear the lyrics, but not ball all in all. With the lyrics, the band seems to go for lyrics about relationships, although you have to dig a little bit before you get that. Non traditional lyrics like this show thought went into them. These lyrics are something people can relate to, which will help the band gain fans. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of the album. Antibliss have made an album that is pretty bare bones and straight to the point, in the sound, while still having some complex pieces to show that there is something here. personally we would like to see more everything with this, but being a first album, it's not bad. Sam Coffey And The Iron Lungs - Bedroom Rock

Sam Coffey And The Iron Lungs have released their first album titled "Bedroom Rock." This album has a very garage sounding shoegaze feel to it. These guys are very raw and unfiltered here. This band has a similar sound to a band like Broncho or even The Dirty Nil, so if you are into either of these artists, you could like this band. They have done an okay job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to just an okay standard. As the band says, these songs were recorded in Sam's bedroom, so it's easy to not expect much. The instrumentation on the album is pretty average as well, they can play, but nothing to really catch you. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics. The vocals on this album are hard to understand at times, since the vocalist seems to be in a very echoy room. From what we can tell, he can sing alright, but it's hard to hear. With the lyrics, again since they are hard to hear, we can only make out a bit. What we can hear is that they sing about love, relationships, people being insulting and fights. For the most part, this is what a lot of bands are singing about, but this band has a different sound to the typical bands singing about those subjects. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Same Coffey and The Iron Lungs have made a very rough, basic first album so that you can get a rough idea of the sound and style the band is going for. We hope this gets better as the band progresses and we can hear a better recording of what they want to do. Not bad for super rough bedroom songs, and we look forward to seeing whats next. Willows - An Empty Room Filled With People

Willows have released their debut album titled "An Empty Room Fulled With People." This album is one that really shows off that indie and shoegaze sort of style. They have a bit  of a unique style that was nice to hear in a period where every indie band sound the same. They have a similar sound to not really anyone, maybe Crystal Castles, but if you like indie music, you could really like this album. They have done a pretty decent job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly decently. The instrumentation on the album is nothing really mind blowing as it sounds more like synth and samples, thats okay though. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on the album do work quite well to mix the music and vocals together. Their singer has a nice voice and it is quite clear. With the lyrics, they have a theme of being lonely and having someone leave you. These are typical topics that bands delve into. Not the most original lyrics, but they seem to be what everyone wants to hear about. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Willows have  made a debut album that is quite the indie album and has a very different sound that is not what the typical band is going for. Not bad overall. Now they just need to get out there. Dinosaur Dinosaur have finally released their debut album titled "The Gulf". This album is one that has taken quite awhile to make, being that the band has been around since at least 2009. They currently feature three members with a drum machine behind them, but they don't mind it. The band has a very 80's synth and indie feel to them. When looking at the recording quality of the album, the album sounds pretty good but it could use some work, especially it the drumming department. One thing we notice is that the songs seem to take a little too long to start up and the vocals seem to go up in the middle, then come back down which makes it hard to follow any of the lyrics. This band is quite an experimental band as well with what they are doing. When we think of the band, what comes to mind is Zoey Dechanel's band in Yes Man. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick any song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Dinosaur Dinosaur have made quite a different album here and we are not quite sure if it's good or bad, we really don't know what to make of it. Maybe while making their next album they can progress to find a sound that more people can identify with. We hope the band starts to play more shows to get the name out as well.
