Black Lungs have released their third effort, this being their second full length. They have titled it "Pagan Holiday." This is one for those who are more into the punk side of Black Lungs, He went a lot harder and faster on this release. This album has a similar style to that of bands like Black Flag or Dead Kennedy's so if you are into those bands, you could really like this album. They have done a pretty decent job on this album though. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly decently. The instrumentation is not something that will blow you away, it is a lot of fast playing. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the singer has a somewhat raspy voice that is just a little hard to put punk music with that voice, but he does sing well and is really clear with the singing. With the lyrics, they have a very punk feel to them and the messages in the lyrics are about violence, standing together and struggles of life. These are very punk topics, so they will be received by fans well. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel. We suggest "Stay Out Of Parkdale." Black Lungs have made an album here that really works nicely. It is a shift from the previous album, but we think this is more along the style they wanted to play anyways so it is good to get to that. Hopefully we can see more in the future. Black Lungs have released their EP titled "Valley Of The Dolls/Stay Out Of Parkdale." This is a two song album that features a very punk style, which is something not really seen on the debut album. This has more of a feel to the traditional punk, like a Black Flag, so if you like them, you may like these two songs. They have done a good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, it could of used a little bit more on the first song,  but other than that, it's alright. The instrumentation is alright here as well. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals have been done really well, Wade can really sing and he shows it again on this one. With the lyrics, they have written some pretty decent lyrics here that certainly work with what he's trying to say. If you are looking for a single to listen to, just listen to the whole album here, it's only two songs, then you will know what the album is like. Black Lungs have done an alright job with this album, and it's nice to see this one go in a little bit of a different direction then the previous one. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits R.I.P.

Black Lungs is the project of Wade MacNeil after the band Alexisonfire broke up. This band is a more acoustic, alternative band with sort of a raspy but unique vocal sound. The album really works because no one is really doing this sort of sound right now and it just fill a niche in the  music scene right now.When you look at this band, they have recorded very well and have a great sounding album. The playing on this album is not crazy  but still solid and the lyrics on this album are quite good as well, its very well rounded. If you would like a song to listen to, give the song "Hold Fast (Sink Or Swim)" as this song is probably the best on the album and it has just a well rounded feel to it. This album is just what Wade needed after Alexisonfire broke up and it showed that each member can do things outside of the band that will  bring them success. Give this album a listen as it is something fans have to hear at least once. Hopefully he goes and makes more albums like this. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
