Arbors Lane - True Contender

1. The Calling
2. Crash
3. Playout

Arbors Lane have released their debut album titled "True Contender." Now we do not know if the band is actually a true contender, but what we do know is that thew band rocks. They have made a very rock inspired album, for any fan of the genre to get into. This album has a similarity to bands like Three Days Grace or even a Red, so if you like those bands, you could really like this album. These guys and gal have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded pretty well and has that rock punch to it. The bands instrumentation is nothing that will wow you off the bat, but the band can play and they have a great sound. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are a little bland, now don't get me wrong, she can certainly sing, but gone are the days of just putting a female voice in front of a band and get instantly noticed. She can sing nice and clearly, we just don't notice anything different or special. With the lyrics, the band has decided to go for songs about wanting someone but not being sure what is going on, as well as being positive towards someone and telling them they are meant to be around. This album has songs that are pretty much positive and wanting to know where things stand. We feel like everyone seems to get into confusing times as these so people can relate. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen, or listen to the whole thing as it is only three songs, then you will have an idea about the band. Arbors Lane have made a debut welcome to album that shows potential and has a rocking sound. We cant wait to see if this band can just push everything to the next level or not. Decent job overall. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
