Autorickshaw have released their debut album which happens to be Self Titled. Now this album is a very different one for us. We do not listen to this type of music even in the slightest so it's hard for us to even completely understand it. What we can say is that is has a very eastern feel to it which is pretty cool for a band from Toronto to be into. We suspect it is pretty similar to the other eastern music, so give it a shot if you like that. We also hear a lot on landscape with the music which we feel is something this style has a lot of. The recording of this album sounds pretty decent actually, we are a bit surprised at how good it does sound. Now vocals that are a little hard for us to understand or even grasp as it is in a different language. The vocalist can certainly sing and she can really hit a range with her music. We find the music itself is very nice, but again just something way out of our normal range. Overall we do know this band has a place and will garner attention within the eastern communities in Ontario. We wish them the best of luck and we have been opened up to a completely different style of music. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it and make sure you have an open mind while listening.
