This Treasure have released their debut album titled "Aspirations." This album is one that shows a band trying to do the Abandon All Ships thing without as much electronics. This is very much the guido hardcore style that just seems to be out there. If you like Abandon All Ships or Palisades , then you could really like this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly well for a debut album here. The instrumentation however is nothing really to blow you away, it is a pretty average album that way. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals need some work, in both the screams and the clean backup vocals. These are both a start, but you can tell they both need some work. With the lyrics, again they need some work to get more of a real meaning behind them that people can really get behind. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song an listen to it or listen to the whole thing as its only three songs. For a debut sort of welcome to album, This Treasure hasn't done a bad job here. Yes you can tell it needs work, and yes it is very similar in another bands style, but they have built a base here to work from. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
