Soul Sucker have released their debut album titled "Low Life." This album shows the band in a very metaly, hardcore way. They have that dirty, grimey metal sound that really makes you feel like you are down in the trenches. They have a similar sound to that of a Stray From The Path or a Deez Nuts without the rap lyrics, so if you like those bands, you could really like these guys. When looking at the recording quality of the album, the album could use a bit of work in the recording, but it gives it a more raw feel and that was probably what the band was going for on this. It also helps with the overall feel to the band. The bands instrumentation is nothing to blow you away, but it is just some good solid Hardcore. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals have a nice dirty scream feel to them, but you can tell what the sing is saying. he has a pretty good voice and sound for the style he is singing. With the lyrics, they seem to be more of a deep dark, sort of emptiness and just having a feel of being down on life. Just as the record is titled, they do feel like the band is going from a low point. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. Soul Sucker have made a debut, sort of welcome to album that isn't quite polished, isn't quite to the best recording they could have but you get the essence and can feel that they have something there. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
