The Superlative have released their debut album titled "Chester." Now we do not know who Chester is, but what we do know is that his album is a mix match of all his favourite styles of music, from rock to funk and reggae. This album has a similar sound to another band named Xprime if you know them, if not, then check them out too. these guys have done a pretty good job on the album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded pretty well. The band can play pretty well also, so that is good. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals here have a nice light funky style to them and it sounds pretty nice. They for the most part are nice and clear. With the lyrics, they are your very typical first album, young band lyrics that don't really have that substance to the meaning of them. They do however have nice fun carefree lyrics that you don't really have to think about, which is good. If you are looking for a single to this album there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. The Superlative have done a pretty good job on their debut, welcome to album here. It has a very staggered sound, which hopefully the band will progress, and fine tune their sound so as to have a more unified sound to their album. Now all that is left to do is get out and play. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
