30odd08 have made their second album "Parish The Sword." On this album, the band hasn't really stepped up their game, rather just kept on rolling in a straight line with their music. The loud noise is still there, but it is less of a nu metal album here, but their music is a bit all over. They have a sound like Comeback Kid and a metal band, so if that appeals to you, go ahead and listen to this. The guys have done an okay job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has a few hiccups here and there. The overall quality and the loudness of the actually recording are not the greatest, but their instrumentation isn't bad. Now onto the vocals and lyrics. the vocals here are okay but nothing to write home about. In fact, the background vocals seem to be better than the primary vocalist, he just seems out of place. Now these lyrics could also use some work on them. they are pretty angry and harsh, while the real meaningful message has been left out of the lyrics. Trying to get more meaning in here would be great for the album. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get an idea of the album. 30odd08 has made an album that could of been better and more along the lines of their debut, but it was still an okay album, they had it nice and fast while also very bass driven. Hopefully on their next album they can choose which direction they want to go in their music and finally have a true fan base. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think about it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
