Small Towns have released their debut album titled "Empty Streets." This album is one that shows the beginning of a brand new band and lets you know just a little bit about how they sound. The band has a Forever Came Calling or Handguns feel to them, so if you like those bands, you could like these guys. They have work to do here but it is nice to be able to tell what they sound like. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album could use some work in the recording process to make it louder and have a better overall sound. From this though, we can tell that the band has alright instrumentation here. With the bands vocals and lyrics, the vocals are not bad, a bit rough but that is probably the recording, you can tell that he can sing though. The lyrics on this album are not bad, they have a decent story to them, but they could use a little work to get a more powerful and meaningful story to the listeners. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of the album. Small Towns have an album here that isn't quite the greatest, but from this you can tell that they do have potential and that with a better recording, they could really push this to bring them to more places and shows. We hope that this band just gets out and plays more while working on what they are doing and developing their sound more. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think about it. it isn't bad for what it is.
