1. Lick Your Wounds
2. Water And Oil
3. Harshest Winter
4. Absurd Wisdom
5. Son Of Judas
Never Was has released their debut album titled "Son Of Judas." This album is a very hardcore punk album thats pretty rough and very heavy on the bass. The band has somewhat of a mix between Mastodon and Expire, it is a little different. They have done an okay job on the album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, it could have been done quite a bit better but it sounds like they were going for a low, raw feel with the album. The instrumentation on this album is quite average as well. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are pretty good actually for the style the band is going for, while the lyrics could use some work to get them more meaningful and more to the story they are telling. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Never Was has done an okay job on their debut, welcome to album, we do realize however that it could have been done a bit better which is why we can't wait to see what the band comes up with next and how they progress. Good try on the debut, everyone has to start from somewhere. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
