Anti-Hero have released their debut full length album.This album is a mix of regular rock with a bit of a darker twist and female vocals. These guys have a sound that is similar to a band like Hole or a bit darker Lillix, maybe a Bif Naked. Not sure if this really works but it is different. When looking at the recording quality of the album, the album sounds pretty decent but the instrumentation is pretty average. This band seems to be trying to get more attention with just having the female component. With looking at the singing and lyrics, the singing is okay, a little bit too whiny but te lyrics are alright here. If you are looking for a single for this album, give the title song "Unpretty" a listen as this song shows off the band the best and gives you an idea of how the album sounds. Anti-Hero are an alright band that just needs a bit of tweaking and less of a gimmick with the "I'm female but I'm a real artist" feel to it. The band can do it, they just have to feel more real. Give this album a listen to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
