Jude The Obscure have released their debut album titled "The Coldest Winter." This album really gives this band a huge heavy feel that goes along with that heavy hard punk music that borders on the metal line. When you first put this on you get the feel of an early Alexisonfire or early Boys Night Out, you really feel the heaviness, but the vocals stand out with the inability to really make them out. With the recording or this album, the vocals and guitar seem to be okay, but the drums seem to be a bit in the background, needles to say this album needs a little work with recording. These vocals and lyrics need a little work as well to make them a little more listenable although the lyrics seem to be alright here. The song to listen to would be "Wake Up My Love" as this song features Dallas Green and George Pettit of Alexisonfire and gives you an overall idea of how the album sounds. All in all, this is a pretty decent 2003 emo era release from the band and it really gives this band a solid foundation. Give this album a listen and make sure you pay attention to this band. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
