Cowlick have released their debut album titled "Eternia Hernia." We are not exactly sure what that means, but we do no that this band likes to make a lot of noise just like the Garage Rock bands like to. They have a similar sound to a dirty, loud rock band with a hint of punk here. Not really any one band to name that they are like. They have done an okay job on the album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded in a pretty dirty, haze filled kind of way, which doesn't sound to great, but it is the style fans of this music like and it is what they were going for. The instrumentation on the album is not bad. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are pretty good for the style they are going for, they really work. With the lyrics, they could use a little work to get more of a real and meaningful message out in their music that their fans will really grasp. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. Cowlick have made a sort of welcome to album that shows off a rusty, dirty, noise band that isn't really what we are into but we can see why people would like it. Hopefully with some progression, they can get a more fine tuned, sound that more people will go for. We also hope they get out more to get more of a buzz around the band. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think about it.
