The Matadors have released their debut full length album titled "Hellblazin'." This album is the first one to feature the main lineup of the band, and the female member is gone. This is the true lineup here for the first time. The band has a style of someone like The Horrorpops or Tiger Army, so if you like them, you could like this. If you compare this album to the last one, this is more complete and has more of a real band feel to it, plus this one is a full length. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly decently and their sound is quite good for a newer style of 50's California rock. The instrumentation is pretty good for this style of music as well. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the lyrics are not so meaningful, but they give you the sort of scary feature the band is trying to go for, while the vocals work quite well here, especially for that 50's sound. if you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. The Matadors have really stepped it up from their previous EP. This album really shows what the band wants and gives them their own style in the rockabilly genre. We can't wait to see what the band comes up with next. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

The Matadors, a band you should probably have heard of before, but have you heard them like this? This is The Matadors first ever demo, and it sounds quite different to what you hear from the band today. This has a real 50's rock style without sounding evil and the different singer makes this an oddity as well. Being that this is a very rough first demo from the band, if definitely needs some work especially with the recording. Now with this kind of music, it is very simple and stripped down, so the music is quite decent for this demo. The story here is that there were only four copies of the album made, so you get to hear something very rare and the very beginnings of the band. This is also the only album to feature this singer, and they also even have a lady in the band here. Now there is not one song to listen to over the others, so just give all four a listen and see what they are about. All in all, this is something that really needs work and is quite rough, but you can see what they start off as here and what they manage to become from it. Listen to this album and give them a chance.
