Serial Joe have released their third album which is simply titled "Serial Joe..." This album seems to be more of an EP with a bunch of remixes and alternate versions of songs. The band has a pretty alternative rock feel to them, which has been standard on their previous albums. These guys have a similar sound to that of Matthew Good Band, Treble Charger or even an I Mother Earth, so if you liked those artists, you could like this album. They have done a pretty good job here.

When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a fairly decent sound and quality here. The album does have a bit of a grungy sound to it, which makes it a bit harder to hear just whats going on, and makes it sound a little sloppy, but thats what the band is going for with their music. On the point of the instrumentation, the band has done a pretty average job here. Yes the band is young and has potential, but no they aren't going to blow you away with a crazy riff or solo. This is pretty much just good old straight foreword playing.

Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album a pretty raw, and you have to consider the singer is just a teenager so it's not as complex as it could be. He has a pretty good singing voice, and he is clear enough that you can get mostly what he is singing about. All in all, not bad. With the lyrics, the band goes for songs about love and relationships, being lost, being down and lifted up, and more. These are pretty typical lyrics to come out of, especially a teenage band. We feel the fans and market for the songs will be able to connect with the lyrics, and thats always a good thing.

If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "What I See" your attention, as it is the best song, and the most true to the sound Serial Joe uses on all their album. This song will give you a good idea of the band.

Serial Joe have made their third album, one that gives them a few more songs to push the market, and one that will hold fans over until a full length of songs can be made. They have done a pretty good job here. It is our personal opinion that rock remixes are not usually the greatest and thats how we feel with the last bit of the album. There is for sure a divide from the top half and bottom half of the album, and for that, we mostly talked about the new songs. Listen to this album and decide for yourself what you think about it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
