Astaroth Incarnate have released their debut album titled "Omnipotence - The Infinite Darkness" This album shows the band in a very dark and fast paced metal scene. Their sound feels like something more from European metal bands, with a mix of North American styling to it. This album is similar to bands such a Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, or Cradle Of Filth, so if you like those bands, you could really like this album. They have done a pretty good job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly well, but could use a bit more clearing up and crispness to the songs, but overall they sound good. The instrumentation here is pretty solid, and you've got to be able to be able to go off with the guitar and quick double bass to grab this style of music, so they are doing well in this department to show they have what it takes. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are pretty growled and hard to make out. We feel though that this is pretty typical of the black metal genre as a whole, so if you listen to it more regularly than we do, you probably get it. For the average listener though, it will be a bit hard. We do think his growls are pretty decent though, and it gives fans just what they are looking for. all in all, great job. With the lyrics, the band goes for songs about the dark and how it captures you, pain, and sorrow, while also trying to grab just the darkest, nasty, sick lyrics to hopefully grab that person who wants to hear the gnarliest lyrics. They haven't done a bad job with these either.  If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Re-Creation" your attention, as this is the best song on the album and really gives you a solid idea of how the whole album sounds. Astaroth Incarnate have made a debut album that really shows off how the band wants to heard, in both sound and style. They have a very black metal sound to them, and we feel that they could appeal to many of the people in the area who like that style of music, but don't get to see it live very often. We can't wait to see what this band does next, and were presently surprised by them when we first were introduced to these guys. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
