The Junction have released their latest album titled "City Nights." This album has been a long time coming, and the band has been pretty quiet. as of late, so it was a surprise to see the band release a new album. This album has a very Indie and rock feel to it, just as many of the other Junction albums have had before. They have that feel of a band like Born Ruffians or a Hidden Cameras, they have a light hearted, fun vibe at times, and a real indie feel too, so if you like that kind of music, you could really like this album. They have done a pretty good job on this one. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a fairly decent quality. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are pretty on par with the bands other efforts. The band does seem to be doing a bit more of a quiet, light and airy vocal style here, which is a bit different from the other albums. You can certainly hear his voice and get the lyrics as well. With the lyrics, the band goes for lyrics more about hitting the bottom, love, find out about yourself and more. This seems to be showing that the singer has hit a rough patch in his life. We hope he gets back to the good times. All in all, pretty good job. If you are looking for a single, give the song "Who Am I" your attention, as it is the best song on the album and gives the best idea of the rest of the album. The Junction have made a pretty different album than we are used to hearing. This isn't something we are used to hear, with 80's synth tones added to the music. We hope the band can regain the following they once had. This band needs to get back out there and get people to remember they are still around. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
