Prophets - What I Hide

1. Separate
2. Leech
3. Desperate
4. Hollow

Prophets have released their fourth album titled "What I Hide." This albums has a very hardcore album compared to their previous efforts. These four songs show the feelings and what the band wanted to do coming to the end of the band. They have a similar sound to that of Being As An Ocean or a Hundredth, so if you like those bands, you could like this album. They have done a great job here. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a really decent quality and has a nice sound. The instrumentation on this album is nothing that will turn your head, but it has nice solid playing and it really sounds good in the music. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals here are done with a pretty aggressive vocal style that still is clear and able to tell what he is saying for the most part. Solid hardcore vocals. With the lyrics, the band goes for messages of failure, pressure, falling short, asking for help, and being down and alone. We know a lot of people have these feelings, and it's nice to see a band talk about them. We also hope that these songs help the vocalist out and are able to come through the hard time. If you are looking for a single to this album, give the song "Separate" your attention, as it is the best song on the album and will give you the best feel for the album. You can also just listen to the whole album, as it is only four songs. Prophets have made an album that is very down and depressing. We know music is a release and we can really feel the emotion in these songs. This album has been done really well. Hopefully the band can use this as a positive and bring the good side out to help people. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
