Cain & Abel have released their third album titled "Keep On Keepin' On." This album follows the same style and sound the band has so far build their fan base on. For anyone who is new to this band, they have that folky, artsy sound that seems to be pretty popular recently. They have a similar sound of bands like Say Anything or an Arkells, so if you like those bands, you could really like this album. These guys have done a pretty decent job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to a fairly decent sound for the time, but quality has gotten a little better since then. The instrumentation is pretty standard here, the band can play and it sounds decent, just nothing that will overwhelm you like a progressive band. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album are quite decent as the singer has the same sort of unique voice that the Say Anything singer has. their vocalist can really sing and he is nice and clear. Solid overall job. With the lyrics, the band has decided to go for messages of making your voice heard if you really believe in something, not disrespecting others, coming to a crossroad in life, and not being true to yourself. These are things some people do face, so we feel that these songs could have an impact to people. Really good story telling and solid messages, great job. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. Cain & Able have made their third album follow the same way their previous albums are. If you were a fan of them before, you will instantly be able to tell this is them and fall in love. We think the band did a great job here. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
