Cadence Calling have released their debut album titled "Metamorphosis." This album is a brutally heavy trip from front to back, giving you the basic deathcore album. These guys have a similar sound to that of Miss May I and August Burns Red, so if you are into those bands, you could really like this album. They have done a really good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of the album, the album as been recorded fairly well, although you can tell it has a bit of an amateur recording to it. The instrumentation on this album is really good, the band can certainly and play well at that. We were impressed with how good this band is on first listen. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on the album as pretty much screamed all the time, but are for the most part clear enough for you to understand what he is saying. Their vocalist has pretty solid screams and really gives a lot to this album. With the lyrics, the band goes for messages of things not going well, life sucking and wishing to make them better. We know a lot of people can get these lyrics and feel the same way so they should speak to them. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of this album. Cadence Calling have made a debut sort of welcome to album that really hits hard and has lots of potential. We were surprised to hear such a quality album from a band that hasn't done much. We hope they can get out more and get more music. Great job overall. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
