Safehaven have released their debut album titled "I'll See You In My Sleep." This album is a very hardcore punk band that seems to be a typical of the genre. This band has a similar sound to that of a Stick To Your Guns or an Expire, so if you are into those bands, you could like this album. It does have a nice sound to it for being a debut record. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been done pretty decently here. The instrumentation on the album however could use some work as it sounds very similar to everyone else, but they can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals have that real hardcore feel to them but are clear enough that you can tell just what they are saying which is nice. With the lyrics, they seem to be on a more positive side of things which is nice to hear from a band as a lot don't go that route. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Safehaven have made a debut album that really isn't too bad here. This band goes all out with the hardcore and will appeal to those fans right off the bat. Hopefully with the next album they can venture out and get more of their own sound, we look forward to hearing. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.
