Under Ember Skies have released their debut album titled "Invictus." This album is one that really goes with the deathcore sound. They have a feel that blends hardcore with the deathcore while still having a new band feel to them. If you like Upon A Burning Body or Emmure, this band could be for you. They have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly decently while having some sections of decent instrumentation. Now looking at the vocals and lyrics, the vocals, the background vocals seem a little too forced, while the main deep screams sound a little overkill at times. With the the lyrics, they could of use a little bit more meaning to get a better story out of the lyrics, but not bad. If you are looking for a single for this album, give the song "Retribution" your attention, as this is the best song and gives you the best idea of the feel of the album. Under Ember Skies have done a fairly good job on their debut, welcome to album. The band has a heavier feel and with a bit more tweaking, could really have something here. We look forward to hearing what is next. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of this album. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
