Kill The Messenger - No Fire Is Friendly

1. My Best Intentions
2. Today's A Good Day To Die
3. Your Lucky Stars
4. Save your Breath
5. Don't Sweat It

Kill The Messenger's debut album "No Fire Is Friendly" is a sort of weird mix between rock music and punk music. These guys seem like a rock band and then every so often they will scream and it's like they are going for something heavier. This album sounds pretty good but its just a little odd with those screams in it. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded alright, but there sure is some work that could be done to make this album better and the instrumentation is pretty average, but the album still isn't bad. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the lyrics could use a touch up with being more meaningful and more substance, while the vocals seem to be a bit to forced from the lower end which if they just sang them normally could work better. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Kill The Messenger have done a reasonable job on their debut album to give you an idea of their sound and to say hey, here we are. Hopefully with some progression and more shows, they can get up there. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
