Get down with your funky self on Theatre Crisp's debut album "Modern Daze." Theatre Crip's debut album gives you a funky hip hop sound that you can dance to the groove of the music. There are not a lot of bands doing this sort of style so we don't even know who to compare this to. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the quality is pretty good here actually and the instrumentation isn't all that bad either, so it's a nice touch to see. Now onto the lyrics and the vocals, the lyrics tell an awesome story and they are sung very heartfelt while the vocals are pretty decent and the rapping on the album is pretty solid as well. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give give it a listen to get the sound, as well as the feel of the album. Theatre Crisp has done something fresh and new here, we aren't quite sure if this will be big or not, but we liked this album so we will just hope the band keeps it up and get out there as much as they can.
