Born Ruffians debut album "Born Ruffians" is a very indie release and it follows the same feel as those of bands like Hollerado and such. The thing with this album is that its a pretty new sound and style for the time it was released, but is very saturated now. This album has been done pretty good by the band. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the band has recorded it pretty good, but it needs just a touch more to get that overall sound better and the instrumentation doesn't really seem to jump out or blow you away. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are done pretty good, but the background vocals seem a little silly. With the lyrics, they actually seem to be pretty good on this album, so that is a good sign. If you are looking for a single for this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the overall feel and sound here. Born Ruffians have made an album that seems all over the place, but is just exploding with sounds all over the place.
