Riverside have released their second full length album titled "Newspeak." Now when you listen to this one compared to their previous album, you notice that Newspeak is a little more mature and a little less pop punk then their previous. Newspeak is a decent album, but it doesn't have a song that really hits you or catches your attention so much. Again like the previous album, this one has been recorded very well and the bands ability hasn't faltered at all.The band does deserve credit for being able to evolve their sound at a young stage in the band but its unfortunately too much on the rock side. The songs to listen to are "1000 Typewriters" and "Pinosa." 1000 Typewriters shows off their new sound the best and Pinosa gives you the old sound very well. All in all, this is still a great offering, and this band can really bring it. Keep up with this band and make sure you listen to this album. they have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
