Her Majesty The King - The Heredity EP

1. Forcast
2. It's Showtime!
3. Avenue Road
4. Be Quiet
5. Walk South

Her Majesty The King have released their debut album titled "The Heredity EP." This EP shows a band doing the exact typical post-hardcore style that bands do. The chanting, the short intro song to open the album, and the breakdowns. The feeling you get is that the quality of the vocals and the overall quality in general could be better on this album, as well as the background vocals. Listening to this album though, the band seems to be somewhat talented at their instruments, and the singer can scream, so they do have potential here. Adding the keyboards to the song "It's Showtime" is a nice touch to the song and give it something the rest of the songs don't have. A song to listen to would be "Walk South" as it is the best song on the EP and shows the most promise out of the 5 songs. Overall it's just an average EP as far as the whole package goes, but for a first album its alright, the next one will be better as the band continues to grow. Give this one a listen though, as its still ok.
