Catalysts debut album is something that shows a young band starting out and trying to get into the hardcore scene. This album is four tracks long, but the first album isn't really a song as much as its an intro to the album, so its really only three songs. These three are pretty typical of what the new hardcore bands are doing today but hey, it works for other bands right? When you go into the recording of this album, it is lacking noticeably in some areas and the music seems to be missing something with it as well. On the lyrics side, they seem to be okay, but the vocals are need a touch or two as well since they sound strained and in the background. If you are looking for a song to listen to, skip the first track and listen to any of the other three. This does have a start to it, and with some more practice as well as a better recording on top of a few tweaks, they could be set. Nice to see a band trying here and just playing. Hopefully they keep building their craft. Listen to this album. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)
