The Dupes have released their debut album titled "The Long Way Back." This album is one that if you know Year Of The Sun Records, is a weird one for them to release. Now the first thing you notice on this album is that the album could use a better recording. This album could of been recieved a little better if it had a notch or two better on the songs quality. Another thing is that the vocals don't really wow you here, and the harmonies aren't the best, but on the other side, the lyrics are pretty good, so they have that. This band just doesn't seem to have a sound or style that really captures you or makes you take notice on this album. Maybe with a little more progression and experimentation, their next albums could bring them up. A song to listen to would be "Dream This" as it has a pretty good intro and get you rocking throughout the song. Give this band credit as they can play their instruments and the music its' self isn't too bad. Look for this band to grow with time. Try out this band and give them a chance, as all bands need a listen and give them your own opinion.
