Amity Beach - Bonfire Etiquette

http://www.twitter.com/saywecanfly

1. Sunday Nights To Infinity
2. Autumn Skylight
3. Crown Victoria
4. Avalanches
5. Fields
6. Right Back Where We Started From
7. Hedonistic Summertime
8. You Need To Learn How To Apologize
9. Born In The Daylight
10. Comet Shop

Amity Beach have released their second album titled "Bonfire Etiquette." This album follows a similar sound and styling from their debut EP. the album has an indie feel for sure with a weird twist that you don't really hear in much indie rock right now. These guys have a similar sound to that of Michou, Tokyo Police Club or a Poor Young Things, so if you like any of those artists, you could like this album. They have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded to an alright standard, but you can certainly hear a rough, echoy feel with the recorded vocals. This take a little bit off of the overall standard of the album. The instrumentation isn't bad here, the band can play, and they show glimpses of being able to do more. All in all, they do a pretty average job here. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on this album aren't bad, but at times you can hear the singer sing one word fast, then finish his sentence. This is a little off putting and looses the flow of the song. You can however hear what he is singing about and for the most part is pretty clear, so that is a plus for sure so you can get the meanings of the songs. With the lyrics, the band sings about girls, relationships, and what two people can go through. These lyrics seem like the typical type that a band sings about, however these guys have done it in a bit more of a way that isn't just straight right down the middle like the beatles did. Not bad. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of the album. Amity Beach have made a similar album, but one that just gives the band a little more legitimacy having a full album of songs to choose from. This will help in the live aspect too, being able to play longer. Hopefuly we see this band take these songs out and play more for people. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of them. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

Brews Willis - Great Energy

1. Altered Beast
2. Sweaty Hands
3. Sneer
4. I Wanna Go South
5. Great Energy

Brews Willis have released their second album titled "Great Energy." This album continues the style and sound that the band brought to them on their debut. These guys have a similar sound to that of The Beach Boys if they were going for an indie sound. It is a bit of a different sound so just check it out if you like indie music. They have done a pretty good job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the band has recorded this to a pretty decent sound. The instrumentation on the album is nothing to wow you, just nice indie music. Now onto the vocals and the lyrics, the vocals on this album have a big of a quite background, being screamed from a bit away feel to them. Hopefully not doing that style will help with the next album. He can sing though and you can tell what he is saying. With the lyrics they have a bit off a different way with them. These guys kind of go around using unique word and putting them together on more of a Frank Zappa way. Still they do a good job on the lyrics. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the feel of it. Brews Willis have made a second album that solidifies their sound and what they want to be. They have also added to their live setlist and given people more songs. Not a bad job here. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Shark Week - Nobody Famous

1. Tidal Wave
2. Graffiti
3.Ambulance
4. Make It On Top
5. Extra Lime

http://www.mediafire.com/?c1egns0mfs92zp2

Shark Week have released their debut album titled "Nobody Famous." Now we will say, yes they are nobody famous, and ska is not a very popular genre, but they are doing something here that is not bad. These guys have a similar but more of a younger sound to that of a Less Than Jake or a Reel Big Fish. They have done an alright job on this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded fairly decently for a debut album. The album has a little work to do but it is still done alright. The albums instrumentation is pretty average here, nothing to blow you away, but the band can play. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals on the album are nothing to write home about, they could use some work as they don't quite sound to have that perfect tone. With the lyrics, they could also use some work as they are pretty amateur and don't have much substance to them, on the other hand they are kind of that no worries, just listen and have fun type of band so they are okay. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song and give it a listen to get the idea of the album. Shark Week have built a foundation for their music with their debut welcome to album. Now hopefully with a base to start from, they can perfect and make a better overall sound. Not a band album all in all, good job. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Amity Beach - Amity Beach

http://www.twitter.com/saywecanfly

1. Jake's Version Of Paradise
2. You'll Never Hear That Sound
3. Barter And Fireworks

Amity Beach have released their debut album which just happens to be self titled. This album really shows off the indie, sort of beach feel that the band has established here and lets you get a taste of the band. The album has a similar sound to that of a Tokyo Police Club or a Hollerado, so  if you like those bands, you could really like these guys. They have done an alright job on their debut album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, the album has been recorded pretty well and the instrumentation has just a little  bit extra on it so that it pushes it just above average. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals are quite similar to Tokyo Police Club, so that is good. They are nice and clear as well. With the lyrics, they could of used a little more to just push that story and make it more relatable to the listener. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song or listen to the whole thing as it is only three songs, and you will get the feel for the band. Amity Beach have done a pretty good job on their debut, welcome to album. This album has a lite, airy, indie beach feel to it and it really does work. We do however hope that the band gets out there more so that they can create a little buzz about themselves. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think about it. They have since called it quits (R.I.P.)

1. Cactus
2. Bottom Feeder
3. Dirty Clocks
4. Tapes
5. You Want It All
6. Compare This To Me
7. Snap Dragon
8. Unemployed
9. I Donned A Shade
10. All My Lucky Senses

Big Lonely have released their second album titled "Close Your Eyes, Keep Talking." This album is an improvement on their sound from the previous album as this one should take the band further. The band has a good sound and the album is pretty decent here as well. When looking at the recording of this album, this album has been recorded pretty decently but the instrumentation is on average on par with other bands. Now onto the lyrics and vocals, the lyrics are pretty decent and they tell the story the band is trying to tell you while having well sung, clean vocals here. If you are looking for a single for this album, give the song "Dirty Clock" your attention as this is the best song on the album and it gives you a sense of how the album is. Big Lonely have taken a step here and its hopefully going to help the band. This album is pretty decent and has a feel that we think you should give a listen to. Hopefully this band keeps it up and plays lots of shows to get more people to know about them. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Brews Willis - Nerped By A Zircon

1. Sun Burn Boner Boy
2. Where The Sharks Swim
3. Ride The Island Baby
4. Hell No Fuck You
5. Big Fat Tits Veronica
6. Go Faster Not Deeper
7. Skate Or Dad, Mom
8. Bones In Our Ocean
9. Turbo Babe Acid Hammer
10. Thy King of Brewslahan

Brews Willis have released their debut full length album titled "Nerped By A Zircon." We have no idea what the title of this album means, but it sounds interesting. The band has a surf sort of sound combined with indie rock which makes it sound like a little more sloppy California beach band. When looking at the quality of the recording for this album, the band has done an okay job with the recording, but they are trying to make it sound a little rougher for the sound they are going with and the instrumentation sounds a little better then average so thats a plus. Now onto the vocals and lyrics, the vocals, specially the ones in the background are in need of a little work as the background sound too far in the back but the lyrics seem to be pretty good here. if you are looking for a single for this album, try the song "Ride The Island baby" as it shows off the duel style of the surf and indie together well as well as gives you an idea of how the album sounds. Brews Willis have something here that could work with the duel genres. as long as they progress and get those backgrounds cleaned up a bit, then this could really work. Give Brews Willis credit here for the meld. Listen to this album to decide for yourself what you think of it.

Big Lonely - Short Stories With Recurring Characters

http://www.facebook.com/biglonelyband
http://www.twitter.com/biglonelyband

1. Poseidon
2. JJ-13
3. Goody Two Shoes
4. Elliot Hopper's Ghost

Big Lonely have released their debut EP titled "Short Stories With Recurring Characters." This album shows that these guys are doing a sort of indie rock and surf rock kind of thing on here. The album has a pretty decent sound on it and they give you a big tinny sound with the guitars. These guys have gotten a pretty good sound with the recording of this album and they can  play adequately on these four songs. The only thing about this album is that it sounds like every other band out there at this time. They have nothing really distinct about their music, which makes them fall into the background. A song to listen to on this album would be "Elliot Hopper's Ghost" as it has a bit more of a happy feel with the guitars and gives you a decent idea of the other three songs. Overall, the band needs to do something or add to the sound to make it stand out more, but they are on the right track with sound and playing , look into them.

Pet Sun - Serpent Buzz

http://www.facebook.com/petsunrocknroll
http://www.twitter.com/petsunrocknroll

1. Serpent Buzz
2. Eat My Baby
3. Interstellar Overdrive

http://www.mediafire.com/?jk1jrtnnu9yfj85

Pet Sun have released their debut album titled "Serpent Buzz." This album shows a band that doesn't really care about being in any sort of spotlight, and just wants to play music, no matter how good, bad, out of touch it is. This album is overly garage rock to the point that at times the guitar drowns out the vocals and it only sounds like noise. Te good thing about this is that if they cleaned everything up, they could be an alright old rock, bar band, or the new underground indie that people seem to like nowadays. Hopefully these guys clean it up because they are not that bad, behind all the distortion and extra noise. The song to listen to is "Serpent Buzz" because it is the one you can hear the best and shows off what they could be. Overall, strip it down and just play.

Lint - Messy And Mediocre, With A Dash Of Bland

1. I Never Said I Didn't Not Have A Heart
2. I'd Burn This Town, Maybe
3. Kids Like Us Have It Pretty Bad

Messy And Mediocre is a demo by Lint. They have done a good job with this, well as far as horribly recorded lyrics and bad, simple lyrics can get you. This band has come a long way with playing their first show in late 2013. The band seems to have a following, and the songs are decent. Get on it and listen, what are you waiting for?

1. Live Fast, Die Bummed
2. These Sailors Haven't Got A Clue!
3. Puking On A Strangers Lawn
4. Fun In The $kum
5. This Walk Home Is A Treacherous One

Lint's first demo is one that shows a band in the beginning stages. Despite the quality of the records, you can tell this band is has a lot of potential, and is going to do something great. Listening to this band, you can also tell that the singer is a great songwriter because the  lyrics are awesome. So give a new band a shot, and tell all of your friends. Give them a listen, you won't be disappointed.
