Davids have released their debut album titled "0613 EP". This album is one that really has a weird sound to it. They have a mix of 80's electropop, but also weird EDM style sounds that don't really fit together. This has a mix of bands like MSTRKRFT and Depeche Mode, so if you like both of those, you could like this album. When looking at the recording quality of this album, it is easy to see that it was recorded with synths and computer generated sounds. That being said, the words could be a little louder overall. The instrumentation isn't all that complicated here, it is more the producing and arrangement of the songs sounds that make the impact here. Now onto the vocals and lyrics. Since there aren't many lyrics and the singing is pretty basic, this album is more geared toward basic, feel good music where you don't have to really pay attention to like the songs. The singer sounds pretty good though. We do wish the recording was more level with the background sounds so you could hear him better. Not bad all in all. If you are looking for a single to this album, there isn't one, so just pick a song other than Buried In Cocaine, as this is pretty different than the rest of the album. Davids have made a debut album that gives you a based as to what they are trying to do with their music, and gives you straight easy to listen to music. We are personally not much of a fan of this music, but give it a chance and decide for yourself what you think of it.
